I just ordered their cheesy garlic sticks, seasoned waffle fries, aside of fried chicken and MVP SMBW. The garlic sticks were delicious with marinara sauce and luckily I had honey which made it even better.
The waffle fries were good and about average. The MVP was as good and above average, but I was expecting more. Now the fried chicken was a disappointment, maybe because I was expecting traditional fried chicken and not strips(wording on the order form said fried chicken).
I’d still order from this spot again to try their other menu items and this is more of a 3.5 out of 5. Also might try dining in to see if the dining experience is any different.
Great spot right across from Crypto Arena. The Detroit-style pizza was crispy and cheesy with a really good crust. We got the Colony with pepperoni, jalapeños, honey drizzle … really solid.
The Le Big Matt burger was also great … juicy, flavorful. Pretzel bun
Good selection of local beers from Santa Monica Brew Works. Head in the Clouds is an award winner.
Easy place to stop before or after a game or concert. I’ll be back.
You order from a counter from a picture menu rather than the typical ES experience of a written menu and a waiter or a bar top. The dining room is a bit sterile / some tv’s a bunch of tables in a triangular space, it’s very bright too almost hospital vibes
Woman who took my order was sweet as pie though and she was very kind when we both remembered I forgot I also ordered water after getting distracted by my beer order blowing a keg
The food though, terrible. The dough was tough, the pizza was burnt, definitely some growing pains going on here inside the kitchen – hopefully mine was a one off. If I make it back to this location I’ll give it another shot and update, but for now if you’re Detroit style pizza fan like me, you might want to wait a little while or consider another options
We tried The Emmy and The Colony. Both ridiculously good. The kind of good where you stop mid-bite and make that involuntary “okay, this is serious” face. The location’s a bit of a pain to get to. Parking makes you question how much you actually love pizza, but once you’re in, seated, and eating, it’s all worth it.
Service was excellent and friendly!
Also. My God. THE RANCH IS THE UNSUNG HERO OF THIS WHOLE OPERATION
