Always great food, friendly service, and a quaint atmosphere filled with seasonal decor, hand drawn chalkboard art, and served on a kitschy mix of Corelle dishes. You can get breakfast all day (open 7-2) — plus they have a lunch menu. Today my daughter and I went at lunchtime for Eggs Benedict and Special French Toast (fresh berries and bananas). Everything is made to order, and though it was busy, food came out quickly, and it was fresh, hot, and delicious. This is a small, family owned business. You can tell they really care about taking care of their guests — a cozy place to enjoy a meal and a gem inside Newtown Borough.

Pat’s Colonial Kitchen is a little gem! We stopped here for breakfast and were seated in the front part of the restaurant. I got the apple, sausage, and cheddar omelet. It sounds odd, but it really works. Apples were sliced nice and thin, sausage was not too overpowering, eggs were perfectly cooked, not runny or dry. I picked the cinnamon raisin toast, which came with a small side of their deliciously sweet strawberry jelly, which I bought a jar to go home with us.

My wife got the pumpkin pancakes with pecans embedded in the pancakes (not on top). Pancakes were nice and thin, fluffy and flavorful. Coffee was fresh and hot, and our server Tanya was very friendly and filled my cup without me having to ask.

Decor was cute for Halloween and fall, and a very comfortable, homey vibe going on. We had a great meal and a great time.

Just had an absolutely wonderful breakfast with a Boston-based friend (an ex-Newtonian) at PAT’S COLONIAL KITCHEN. Always enjoy our too-few times together and he picked this spot for breakfast and catching up.

I hadn’t been to this establishment for awhile since retiring from a nearby school and, as soon as I entered the cozy, welcoming interior, memories of great breakfasts from my days working in the Newtown area came flooding back. It was always a great place for fine food and good conversation.

We both ordered the Eggs Benedict, which were perfectly prepared and delicious. And, as a home fries aficionado, I have to point out that they were as good as it gets.

Add in a very friendly, efficient waitress, as well as an on-site, just-as-friendly owner, and I can assure you I’ll be heading back a lot more often!

Did some research before traveling to Newtown for a conference. Pat’s just looked homey and the pics of the food looked good. I decided to get up at the normal time so I could get a good breakfast. OMGOODNESS! Mike and Lauren made me feel right at home. Great service and fantastic people. I just had to try the weird sounding omelet… apples, cheese and sausage. The flavor combination was perfect… who would have thunk it. I also wanted to try 1 peanut pancake… I like comparing pancakes at places. It was the most beautiful pancake I have seen and there were WHOLE pecans in it. The strawberries and bananas set it off. I think everyone needs to try Pat’s. My compliments to Frankie, the chef.

I was in the mood for some french toast and my husband took me to this place, which he already visited once before and loved it. I was highly disappointed, the food looked amazing although the potatoes were charred, and it was all very bland. After I finished with my eggs I wanted to start on the french toast and I went to grab another knife and it was dirty. My husband wasn’t too happy with his food either – it’s a shame we didn’t have a great experience because this place is always packed!

The brunch was decent, cannoli pancakes was a bit too sweet for me. Very nice and cozy atmosphere. However the homemade blueberry jam takes the cake ! I loved it so much I bought a jar and it goes great with anything!

Very quaint little breakfast spot and the inside has just been redone. I enjoy sitting out on the small deck for breakfast. I ordered a coffee which was hot and delicious. I also ordered creamed chipped beef and it came with a side of home. It was very good but I must admit it was not the best I have had. My wife got the pancakes which are excellent and a side of pork roll. We love this place and we will continue to come back. Please excuse my pictures of the food because the meals were have eaten by the time I remembered to take a for this review. I will update the pictures next time I go.
