At our Leeds, AL location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

Ordered 2 piece fish and fry meal. I substituted the fry for fried okra for a charge of $1.09. The service was great, they didn’t skimp me on condiments and the fish was a great size. However, I ordered a side of coleslaw, over $3, was literally 3 bites.

50 minutes after ordering a fish platter, I hadn’t gotten my order yet so I went to check on it. They said the drive through was backed up and it would be ready in two minutes. 10 minutes later I had to cancel my order so I don’t know if the fish was any good.

Came in for lunch. We were greeted by the warm staff. Discussed menu options and was given the best choice for what we wanted. The order came quickly and was hot and ready to eat. Additional condiments were offered and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit in the quiet, peaceful atmosphere of the location. I highly recommend if you’re in the area to stop and experience what we experienced. we will definitely be back next time. We are in the area.

No complaints on my chicken, however fries were old and cold. I had to wait on food but that was to be expected as the chicken was cooked to order. Staff should have made sure everything was of standard.

As soon as you walk in the door you are greeted by a rude lady that just makes you want to walk right back out the door I had a mobile order and forgot to add tartar sauce to my order when I politely asked her for some she started yelling at me that it wasn’t on the ticket and I should’ve put it on the ticket I then told her that I would pay for it if it cost more for sauce then she replied that it didn’t cost more and handed it to me I will definitely not be returning to the Leeds location I have never been in a restaurant that had this rude of staff and to top it off the parking lot would destroy a car it has so many potholes and cracks in it, it feels like your going over 100 speed bumps luckily I was in a truck

Ordered a fish sandwich combo and it was a waste of my $7.70. The fish keep tasting extra wet. While driving and eating. I turn my light on to look at the food and this is what I found! The fish was NOT fully cooked! Also, the fries were cold! A huge disappointment because after not eating since 1230pm I was really hungry. Do not apologize train your ppl or upgrade your equipment. I have read the reviews and cold food happens a lot at this place… LEEDS CAPTAIN D’s! Find the problem and fix the problem!

We ordered a large amount of food! Love about 20-25 minutes away and it was still warm when we got home! They were very nice when I picked up the order and Ms. Louise the manager is taking care of the customers!!!!

If I could leave a zero I would. Our visit was very disappointing. Not once but thrice. Our rice looked like it was made weeks ago. There was also one time they refused to let us eat inside ‘cause they already mopped the dining area’ but they were still an hour from closing, it’s really disappointing. There was also one time that one of the staffs was flirting with my husband, very unprofessional, very disappointing, not going back.

We were extremely disappointed with our recent experience. Upon opening our order, we discovered a long black hair in the fish. We immediately called the restaurant to inform them and said we would be bringing it back for a refund. They apologized over the phone and told us to return the food.

However, when we arrived, we were told they needed to contact their boss in Atlanta before issuing a refund. After explaining that we would contact the police if the issue wasn’t resolved, they suddenly gave us a full refund. It should never have required that level of escalation just to be treated fairly.

We will not be dining there again.
