I don’t want to be harsh as I want to support local businesses, but I want to give an honest review as well. With that being said the gnocchi and arugula salad were awesome. Great house wine and bread. Service was friendly but a little clunky as expected for only being open a month. All the other food we had was good but not great. The Amatraciano had about 10 dime size pieces of “pork cheek” that were mostly clumps of fat that I couldn’t taste as,they needed to be rendered or cooked more. The soup was underdeveloped. The meatballs were tough and had a lot of sage in them, but the sauce they were in was very good. I know they tout having fresh pasta but I do wish the pasta had more of a chew to it as it is made and cooked in Italy. Will try again in a few months.

We went to opening night tonight enjoying the BEST food in CDA!
Everything about our time here was absolutely perfect. Tender, flavorful food true to Italy.
Staff was all amazing and ambience is great. Can’t wait to go back! Well done to everyone working there!

Quality Italian food at a reasonable price, CDA needs this. I will not be Returning to Tony’s for 10 pieces of gnocchi at $29 The portion here is what it should be an I say this as a local chef in this area since 2003. Actually was At Thomas Keller’s Bouchon Bistro in Las Vegas and the Gnocchi is cheaper than at Tony’s in Cda. Chef John is the real deal you can feel the passion in the food and I love it. Definitely will be back and excited to see him grow!!

Very good! Our waitress was extremely friendly, everyone was super welcoming and kind, and the food was delicious! The chicken had incredible flavor, was extremely tender, and tasty. We also had the gnocchi (amazing), steak (great), and salmon (super tasty!). The wine was amazing, and the bread was great, but the tiramisu was definitely the most amazing thing we tried there!

So I got to take 3 beautiful blonde women out to the hot new Italian spot in downtown CdA this weekend. The only problem is that two of them were my adult daughters, so while I got to revel in the stares, my wife got to share with them the most amazing dinner we’ve had in years.
This place absolutely nailed it. BAM. 5 stars.
We went in for a relaxed night out and ended up having one of the most fun dining experiences we’ve had in a long time. We visited with a few friends at tables before sitting down (it’s that kind of place), then shared wine and worked our way through the menu — gnocchi, amatriciana, chicken saltimbocca, hanger steak, and panna cotta — and every single dish was on point. Thoughtful, balanced, comforting Italian food that somehow still feels elevated. How do you even pull that off???
PS: The pasta is al dente, which is the real Roman way. Expect a little bite. It’s legit, people — and honestly, it’s time to embrace it the same way we all learned to love hoppy beers 10 years ago. Let’s move on.
The ambiance and music were perfect — elegant without being stuffy, warm without being loud. Voices and laughter everywhere, with music softly weaving through it all. You can actually enjoy the people you’re with, which is rare these days. The folks at the table next to us even stopped to chat — that doesn’t happen unless it’s Margarita Thursday somewhere else.
Service was exceptional. Our server was attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely welcoming. Our busser Sebastian deserves his own shoutout — fun, upbeat, and unforgettable. Snappy suspenders, by the way.
And chef/owner John Minichino himself stopped by the table to check on us, which says everything about the care and pride behind this place.
If you’re looking for a downtown Coeur d’Alene spot that gets the food, the vibe, and the hospitality right, this is it. You might even catch a few cute blondes. Yep.
We’ll absolutely be back.

Ok! Seriously! This is the most accurate representation of a restaurant in Rome. We were just in Rome in May and this hit all the notes! Sophie was a delightful server! The staff was attentive and polite. Hands down the best gnocchi we’ve ever had. Sorry no photo of it! The carbonara was excellent, house made fresh pasta was cooked perfectly! Run don’t walk! Go now! You won’t be disappointed!

We’ve been waiting for this place to open and it did not disappoint. The fennel soup is amazing and has such a unique slightly smokey flavor. Softest gnocchi I’ve ever had, and the prosciutto wrapped chicken was cooked perfectly – the green beans were soft with a slight crunch but the sauce on the plate was the best paired with the potatoes. Everything is so fresh and tastes like there is real love in the dish. Staff was very attentive and chef was very friendly and visited while we had the lemon desert- Love the atmosphere, we will definitely be back.

Honestly the best gnocchi I have ever had. All the pasta is made in house & really high quality. Also the amatriciana was a 10/10 as well. Will be back!

We had a great time at downtown CDA’S new Italian restaurant!! The gnocchi was absolutely to die for, so delicious. Would love to see some new menu items added in the future as the menu was a bit small. Looking forward to watching them grow as time goes on!
