Nice chinese spot tucked in the corner of a strip mall. Great, classic chinese american atmosphere. Nice bar. Good prices and portions. We ate in, and the server was very nice. Great food. The sauces at the table were immaculate. Best soy sauce I’ve ever had. The sweet and sour sauce is great as well (order seperately). Eat here NOW!

The food used to be great here I loved coming here We did some takeout the other day and it was just awful I was so shocked! So we tried it again we thought maybe it was the bad night and no it was awful again and then we just keep hearing from other people how much it’s going downhill so I won’t bother ever going there again unfortunately.

Looks can be deceiving! A single door in the corner of a strip mall. No windows, no idea what you are walking into. Pleasantly surprised to see a nice big clean restaurant. The bar and the dining room were separated. The hostess and the waitress were friendly. They lunch specials with a good price and a huge amount of food. I got the lunch special that came with Shrimp with Lobster Sauce, Pork Fried Rice and I picked an Egg Roll as my appetizer. All around $10 before tip. The Shrimp with Lobster Sauce had a really nice flavor. It was a tad salty, but not overpowering. I asked for no onions in the Pork Fried Rice and they happily obliged. I thought the rice was delicious. I will preface this by saying I really like old school Egg Rolls. Mostly celery, char siu, a little 5 spice. These were more of a cabbage Egg Roll. I poured some of the hot mustard and delicious duck sauce in them and they were delicious. I will go back at some point!

Yen yen used to be a staple of my household. We went there for many years. I knocked them for having horrible rice; which in fact is true. If you are a Chinese restaurant you want to have really good pork fried rice. However every time I order their chicken fingers they are absolutely delicious. The coating they use is unique. The pot stickers (fried dumplings) tonight were out of this world with the soy ginger sauce. I’m a Chinese food professional. As with any other Chinese restaurant you have your good and bad. These dumplings made my day actually.

This spot has really gone downhill, there used to be a delicious buffet, GONE .
Asked for a homemade hot mustard and cashier informed me that “there’s usually a charge”. I mean c’mon if you’re so uptight about $.50 charge. CLOSE, go do something else.
Ordered House Special Egg Foo Young to-go. The pieces were swimming in this oily watery gruel, drained it off and ate it, regretted it.
If I had it to over again, I’d of brought it back and poured the gruel out onto the counter.
Never again, come to think of it, please close and go do something else because your restaurant skills suck.

This is my favorite go to spot! Foods always fresh, service is unmatched, and atmosphere is comfortable, warm, quiet. My FAVORITE place to go on a date or catch up with a friend

The hostesses were very nice and hospitable. However, the quality of the food was bad. I’ve never seen burnt scallion pancakes before until now. The general Gau’s chicken was also pretty flavorless. The vegetable fried rice was pretty good.

Hadn’t been in awhile and decided to give it a try again. Oily, greasy and bland. No flavor at all. Doesn’t matter what you bite into on the pu pu platter, tastes exactly the same. Yen Yen needs to do something quick!

I haven’t had Yen Yen in a quite a while and regret buying from here. The food absolutely horrible, the teriyaki beef was hard as rubber and looked like cheap beef jerky, I ordered orange chicken and got pork instead. The fried rice was mushy and tasted weird as if it was rushed. Don’t WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!
