It’s ok. I’ve had worse. I guess it’s an ok spot for lunch. I probably would rather get the cheese steak next time and try it out
Otherwise this place is ok… ingredients had flavor and they put a thousand island sauce on it.
There was just nothing special about it.
So dogs are welcome inside and outside! At least the time of me going.
I’m a breakfast anytime type of person so they’re perfect.
Even the eggs are good…I like mine over-medium and they cooked them perfectly.
For starters, I did not appreciate the food coming on paper plates, and the super cheap cutlery alongside it. For the price, I expected more!
I ordered a hot link breakfast with eggs and hash browns, and a tuna sandwich with a vanilla milkshake.
5/5 for the milkshake
2/5 for the Tuna sandwich – small, very plain, no mayo, no produce was offered on the sandwich. It was dry and flavorless. The portion of fries was very small. I had to ask for pickles to give the sandwich a kick. $13 was way too expensive for the size and quality.
3/5 for the breakfast plate, but it was too small of a portion and came up to $17.
4/5 for the French toast. It tasted how it should, nothing special. Also, super small and thin bread used. For $11.99 it was not worth it.
Total was $50 for a meal that should have been no more than $30.
I suggest the owner consider updating the portion sizes and prices. Also, investing in plates, metal cutlery, and cups would make a difference with the first impression and the overall quality and atmosphere of the experience.
I could have eggs at home, but having eggs at a restaurant just makes them taste better (it’s science).
Okay, yes I enjoy fancy brunch places as much as the next person, but at the end of the day (or the start of it?), I just want some dang good breakfast foods. I love the variety of food options here and definitely will be back for their lunch options. I stuck with the simple Breakfast Special which includes two eggs, sausage/ham/or bacon, and toast/or hash browns.
Call me a fiend, but all I ever wanted from breakfast sausages was for them to taste like McDonald’s sausage patties. And Burger Barn delivers!
This is really random, but Burger Barn has been on my food bucket list for a while, because I love how it’s old-timey looking business is kinda standing it’s ground against the behemoth that is Valley Fair. The juxtaposition is just excellent.
I will be back! 😀
