I have been here so many times. This place has very honest and sweet people working. All of them are very hard working and warm. I love how they always ask the spice level customer wants. Also they pre inform customers about the exact waiting time. I love the paperbox they serve on. Very tasty momo and other Nepali-Indian food. The outdoor seating gives full Nepali vibe. Good place to hangout with friends and chat after long day. Parking seems a little congested but it’s right beside the store so that parking can be used. I would suggest them to give more tissues than what they are giving. That is the only complain I have.

We stopped by a really good Indian/Nepalese food truck near Interstate I-35 in San Marcos and were pleasantly surprised. We ordered only vegetarian dishes and everything was warm, flavorful, and freshly made. Since it’s a food truck, don’t expect full seating or ambiance, but the food definitely makes up for it. For taste and quality, I’d give it a solid 4.5 out of 5. Would happily stop again!

I’ve been so excited to try this place because I’ve heard nothing but good things and they were all true! Everything I got was so delicious and the guy working was super kind. He made some adjustments to make sure my meal was vegan and they even had vegan butter for the naan!! I got the vegetable coconut curry, veggie samosas, vegan butter naan, and homemade lemonade. I’m excited to try more from here :))) Support local!!!!!

I gave this hidden food truck 4 Stars because I truly have not experienced their asian influenced entrees. As I do not have a lot of experience with Indian cuisine, I started off with their chicken dumplings. When asked about my heat level, I cautiously replied, “Medium.” If you like the heat of fresh jalapeños and the lingering of after-burn , then this is a great first bite. I will be returning soon for their sheep/ goat dishes. I am very excited after tasting the spices that coated the chicken dumplings that I enjoyed this evening!

Great food. Portions aren’t huge, but just right where I was full. I ordered regular naan, garlic naan, and Himalayan Lamb Curry. All three items were fantastic.

Food was really good. And it’s nice to get Indian food in this area because there is a lack of it. Service was exceptional. I had a customer order that they did for me that wasn’t on the menu. Food was a little light on the chicken in the dishes I ordered. Could’ve been more in there.Giving it two stars for atmosphere because it’s a food truck so really no atmosphere to speak of.

I had the chicken tiki masala, very good portion comes with couldn’t finish it all still had some left for left overs such a good taste to the curry, and i’ve tried many curry’s before. Also had the samosas which were so good. Didn’t expect it to be a food truck but for what it’s worth it’s definitely worth going har great tasting food! definitely will be back again!

amazing food, everything tastes super fresh and delicious. I’ve never tried indian food before and after this experience, it’s definitely my favorite cuisine. For butter chicken, coconut balls, samosas, and 2 orders of the garlic naan I only waited 15 minutes. And for all of that, it was only 30 dollars. found my new favorite spot!

This place is a true hidden gem for Indian and Nepali food lovers. For years, San Marcos lacked an authentic spot for curries, dumplings, and biryani—and this restaurant fills that gap perfectly. It has quickly become my go-to place every week. The food, service, and prices are consistently excellent. The staff is friendly, the flavors are rich, and the pricing is very reasonable.
This food genuinely connects with your soul. As a community, we should support them so they continue to thrive. A pure hidden gem.

So happy these guys are open close to me! As a newer convert to Indian cuisine, I was excited to try Himalayan Nepalese & Indian Cuisine Food Truck, and I’m thrilled to say it exceeded my expectations. We only stopped by for a couple of appetizers, but based on those alone, I know I’ll be back very soon for a full meal.

We had the Veg Samosas and the Himalayan Cauliflower—both were excellent. The Veg Samosas (just two per order) were larger than most we’ve had elsewhere and packed with a flavorful potato and pea filling. The dipping sauce was a perfect complement, nicely balanced and not too spicy.

The Himalayan Cauliflower absolutely stole the show. I asked for it spicy—“load it up,” I said—and what I got was a generous portion of crispy fried cauliflower florets, tossed in a sticky-sweet chili sauce that hit all the right notes. It was flavorful, had a nice warming heat (not overpowering), and the cauliflower still had a great bite to it. I will definitely be ordering this again.

Even though we only tried appetizers, the quality of both dishes gives me confidence in the rest of the menu. They offer an impressive variety of vegetarian options along with proteins like chicken, goat/lamb, and shrimp. I’m also excited to try their naan, which I’ve heard is fantastic.

The prices are reasonable ($7–$17), and while it’s a food truck, the location is convenient—right outside the Chevron on Wonder World Drive. They’ve got a couple of tables with umbrellas if you want to eat on-site.

All in all, this is a great new addition to San Marcos, especially for anyone craving bold, flavorful dishes from the Himalayan, Nepalese, and Indian traditions. Definitely give them a try—I think you’ll like it as much as we did.

Can’t wait to go back and try more—will update this review soon!
