Incredibly disappointed with the service last friday.
The staff member at the register was seated on a chair, cold, unwelcoming, and seemed like they didn’t want to be there.
After coming from a great shopping experience nearby, this was a huge letdown. A little bit of warmth goes a long way, but unfortunately, there was none to be found here.

We recently stopped in at Panera Bread and decided to try the Asiago Spicy Steak Bagal Stack—and let me just say, wow. The sandwich was a knockout. The bread was perfectly crisp, the steak seasoned just right, and the spice gave it that satisfying kick. It was one of those meals where you instantly know you’ll be thinking about it later.

But as great as the food was, the experience started on a sour note. When we walked in, we expected a warm welcome, especially since this was only our second visit to Panera. Instead, we were greeted—well, we weren’t. The attendant, a young man named Cody, was physically there but completely disengaged. No smile. No greeting. Just a blank stare from behind the register.

We asked about the new sandwich and had to basically poke a response out of him. It felt like we were interrupting him rather than walking into a place that values hospitality. We told him it was only our second time dining at Panera—another opportunity for some friendly connection—but again, just that same cold expression.

We eventually found the sandwich on the menu board and placed our order. Not knowing it came with a side, we started looking for options. Finally, Cody told us it came with chips—short, abrupt, and without so much as a “thank you” or “enjoy your meal.”

Thankfully, the team behind the scenes—the ones preparing the food—absolutely delivered. Every bite of that sandwich made us feel like maybe, just maybe, the visit was worth it. If it weren’t for their work, we likely wouldn’t have felt any desire to return. But credit where it’s due—the food was exceptional.

So here’s the bottom line: Panera Bread, your kitchen staff is knocking it out of the park. But your front-line service, at least in Cody’s case, needs serious attention. A smile and a simple hello go a long way. When customers feel ignored or unwelcome, even the best meal can be soured.

We’ll be back—for the sandwich. But we sincerely hope the service matches the quality of the food next time.

There was a poor written note on the kiosk telling customers to use kiosk because they are understaffed. I had to wait 5 minutes for only a cup purchase. Today the lady working the cash register was very rude and overwhelmed. Very unprofessional. Very nasty. Will not be returning back and will push this issue with corporate. I am a proud member of panera perks. I will be pushing this issue further.

The lady at the front counter and so quick and sweet!! The food was also amazing and they did a great job at getting our food out quick (it was a whole volleyball JV and Varsity team of over 20 people). Also had a funny moment with the front counter lady and she made my and my other friend laugh and it was amazing!!

I did a Togo order.. this evening around 7:40pm 2/17/2025.. My Togo order was totally screwed up.. French onion didn’t have the extra croutons ask requested.. the sandwich had arugula on it.. I asked for none.. the sandwich bun is wrong.. I called back up to the store no answer.. this is totally unacceptable.. Maybe if the lady fixing Togo order wasn’t on the phone my order would’ve been right.. I won’t be back but this is terrible!!

I just am not the biggest fan of Panera bread it’s not anything that I’ve ever just cared for go to my way forward. I did do the sips Club because of the strawberry fresca lemonade and it was really great with fresh strawberries in it but they don’t have that now so, plus it’s too much money for the sips Club I did the free version of it then I paid $5 for a month but, I’m out of it now and I just don’t go out of my way to eat there but that’s not a knock on their business a lot of people love Panera bread, it just doesn’t do it for me

We like their food and we’ve been going there for quite some time.
Today we got sandwiches and soup and not only they forgot a bag of chips but my sandwich only had enough meat to cover half of the sandwich.
I’ll think twice about going back to this location from now on.
It was order # 552536554

My wife and son ordered for me and the same thing happened again.
There’s hardly any meat that covers the surface of bread. I guess it’s my fault now that I keep on going back to this place. That’s true the last time I go to this place.

This was my sandwich today for lunch. Thus was supposed to have been the Toasted Italiano sandwich. It is missing ham and was awful. This is not a $15 sandwich. Save your money.

I went to Panera in Leighbranch. I got pastries. The person who was took my order used the same gloves I saw them touch the customer screen, her screen, and then she used those same gloves to retrieve all of my pastries. I purchased four. What is the procedure in a case like this one? I left with the pastries but was reluctant to eat them. I know cashiers are properly trained, but my last few visits my orders were incorrect. The service has changes recently. This was my favorite spot, until recently. Post Covid, I’m just a bit more cautious about cross-contamination. Let’s do better to keep all safe!

Rushed in to get my favorite cinnamon crunch bagel and I got this poorly cut catastrophe with no liner just thrown in the bag naked which caused it to stick to the napkins in the bag. Now I have to pick paper off my bagel before its edible
