Tried the new Panera in Midland… Ordinarily Panera is one of my favorite places to go, hadn’t been in a while but I was craving a chicken caesar salad which I used to get like three times a week. I am really disappointed with Panera… The salad is so small as you can see below, definitely not worth $12 and the bag of chips is even smaller… For a regular drink, chicken Caesar salad and side of chips… $19. I know prices are going up but that’s crazy, I remember getting large filling salads from Panera that required two dressings and sometimes three lol. The salad tasted good, the cafe is nice and new with outdoor seating, all the staff was very friendly. It did take a little bit long to get my food even though there was not many people in there but that’s expected with a new opening. I really do like Panera but again the price for what I actually got was very disappointing.

I’ve been to this one a few times already. My food is always the way I want it and delicious. Not sure why folks are giving low review ratings. I think they just like to complain. My sandwich was a reasonable $7 plus. Which is what you pay at a lot of places these days. Portion size was fine and filling. Can’t wait to go back.

No more fresh baked vibes, the sesame seed bagels hardly had any sesame seeds and had all the charm of a packaged bagel.
No souffles, no bear claws, hardly anyone on a Friday morning. Just a step above a vending machine. I won’t be back. Oh, and no cosy fireplaces, it’s an outpost sort of place.

Took atleast 30 mins to pick up 1 drink and it was the wrong size and the girl never came back to the window to get the right one so i just drove away. Also yesterday i came and my salad was half full. Horrible not worth the money

I’ve ordered from this location a few times, and usually Panera is very good, but this is the consistently the worst one I’ve ever been to. Every time I’ve had avocado or eggs in my salads, they have been bad (brown or taste spoiled). The customer service has been less than ideal as well. Today I got the completely wrong soup and due to diet restrictions I’m unable to eat it.

I tried the new Panera in Midland on 5/17 around 1030am. As a decades long Panera lover I have been anticipating their opening so close my home and was excited to give it a try. Unfortunately, the experience was lackluster at best. We chose to order at the kiosk as no representative was behind the counter. The only crew member I could see in the front of house was cleaning the coffee machines and letting customers know the night shift forgot to do so. After placing our order we sat down and waited. And waited. And waited some more. During this time I asked the employee cleaning the coffee maker how I could get the drinks we ordered. The employee was friendly enough but let me know “they” did not want them interacting with the customers so much but he would bring our drink cups to us. Which he did but, how odd? While we waited I watched another employee show up and take over the register. Every time a customer came in and stood in front of the register she would say briskly “do you want to order something?” And then looked annoyed if they chose to not use the kiosk and she had to actually earn a paycheck by pushing buttons. Mind you many of these customers were paying in cash and so clearly a kiosk would not have worked for them. During this time I filled our drinks and observed the other four or so customers sitting around looking confused and irritated. After waiting approximately twenty minutes for a sandwich and soup in the zero-ambiance (unless their ambiance goal is unfriendly sterility) we bussed our own table and left without any acknowledgment from the singular crew member that was unengaged at the register. The hilarity of a tip jar in that business model did not go unnoticed. I’ll be sticking to the Macon Road Panera for my Panera cravings! Worth the extra ten minute drive.

Salad was excellent. Service is terrible. I sat and watched a long string of cars pick up their orders before I got mine. It took over 20 minutes from the time I ordered until I got my salad. Like most restaurants these days, the kitchen is focused on feeding the drive through window. Salads are in a to go container rather than the nice bowl and real flatware you get at the other locations even if you order in so do yourself a favor and use the drive through, then park and go in to eat. They have a small dining room.

Stop lieing to your customers!!!! On your app it says $1 Soup when you purchase an entree that is a lie. I tried to order it several times and was never able to. Every time it tries to charge full price for the soup even though it says it should be $1. Why do you advertise something and then not give it to your customers!!!!

I’ve tried this location a few times. Each time the food was lack luster. I ordered chicken noodle soup and it was all noodles. My tuna fish sandwich had a tub of salt. I ordered a cinnamon roll but at this location, it was a danish with frosting. Currently, I’m no long a fan of Panera. This is reminding me of some bad hospital food.

I’ve been here a few times, and every time I over through the drive thru, my order is either wrong or missing items. First it was missing all the sides, chips, apples, etc. another time items I order with customized ingredients were wrong, and so on. Each time is something. Last order I asked for a break bowl, and a regular bowl of a different kind of soup, ended up not having the bread bowl in my bag. All in all, seemingly small stuff, but it’s every time I eat there something is messed up. Employees are polite, so I don’t chalk this up to employees being malicious. Perhaps they’re understaffed or some such?
