Some of the best pancakes I’ve had in a while. The service was friendly but not very attentive. It was also a little surprising to see a kitchen staff that didn’t have hair nets (or hats) or gloves. As others have said it was very slow. In my opinion it is also very pricey for what you’re getting.

Great comfort foods. I had the fried chicken and it was really good. My friend had the cheese burger which also was satisfying.

Okay place if you are near. Maybe l should have tried their dinners. A local lady said the tenderloin was good. I had never had one.

The atmosphere is cozy and the service is friendly. The food is what you expect to find at a diner. The hot sauce they carry is fantastic. I purchased a bottle to take home.

So wanted to try a small restaurant today for breakfast and lunch, so went here. Don’t know if they were just having a bad day or what. Waitress was nice but once order was placed to took forever to get it. Definitely not a place to go to if you only have 30 minutes for lunch. Once we did get the food, it was definitely an off day for the cook. I had the daily special meatloaf sandwich with mash potatoes and it all covered in brown gravy. Well there was so much salt in that gravy, I think I am good on iodine for the next 3 months. All you could taste was salt. The mash potatoes were not bad but the meatloaf was not a loaf. It was so dry it was in pieces. How do you screw up meatloaf? My wife’s omelette was small and looked no bigger than a breakfast burrito from McDonald’s. The bacon did not look bad though. Definitely not going back here again unless they replace the cook. Only giving this place 3 star because the waitress was nice.

Lovely, helpful staff and a classic ‘diner-style’ menu. My omelette was nicely done and the steak & eggs hit the spot for my husband. The restaurant’s decor harkens back several decades but prices are reasonable and they cook up good, solid breakfast and lunch classics.

Food was terrible, slow & cold. Service was terrible, and the place was kind of dirty and run down a little.

The food took forever, and when it came out, the bacon was burnt, eggs were crispy, toast was dry and the food was cold. The food was bad on all of our plates (4 of us). In fact, the food look so bad across the board, we decided it’s better off to cut our losses and just leave.

When we asked to return the food and pay for our drinks,, the cashier made a huge stink. You see we drank a glass of OJ, and when we tried to pay with a debit card she freaked out. Yelling at us about some policy that if the bill is under a specific amount, you can’t use a debit card or something like this. It got ugly as the waitress was a young girl and started yelling, the cashier started yelling. We haven’t been back since.

Breakfast and tenderloin sandwich was very good. This place has been around for 55 years! Evelyn and her late husband opened in January 1967. A few remodels and additions gave them more room over time. Evelyn and her staff run a great family restaurant.

Ice storm 2017 and everyone was closed. But we saw this little place and decided to go there. The day we went it was Sunday and they had a lunch buffet. It was really good, tasted like a home cooked meal but more on the thanksgiving dinner style. The roast beef was amazing! The gravy tasted like the kind Grandma makes. So good!!! The staff was so friendly that we would go back just for that. Our main waitress constantly tended to our needs and the other waitress was so kind and playful with all the kids. They made you feel very welcome, even if my brother n law was wearing steelers propaganda.
