Had an amazing time at Melanie’s. We stopped by by chance because we were in the area, and the service was fantastic. They even made my mom a cup of coffee to go for her long drive The food was amazing, we had the lobster mac and cheese , a burger, and shrimp. Cheese curds and fried mushrooms were great appetizers!

An underwhelming experience. Definitely understaffed in front of house. Service definitely suffered because she couldn’t get to everybody. Food was okay but it wasn’t anything that I would encourage others. 30 bucks for a fish sandwich and the sweet potato fries.

We very much enjoyed our visit here. The restaurant is small and very modestly decorated, but the food was very good and the young person who waited on us was very attentive.
I love french fries and theirs are homemade! So rare to see as everybody uses frozen fries today.
We had the grouper sandwich and the grouper was very fresh, and a burger with pimento cheese, which was delicious. We would definitely go back!

This is our go-to for weekend day dates for lunch and also the occasional dinner! The food is always wonderful and the service is fantastic! You may need to wait a little longer than a big box restaurant but that is because your food is made fresh! We plan to keep visiting Melanie’s Seafood Company for a long time! Oh, and don’t forget their ice cream shop, Maggie Mae’s, right across the street for some nitrogen ice cream!!

As someone who is very much a foodie, this place was just alright. The Mel’s Belle burger was good, the beer battered fish tasted like it had no seasoning and the tarter sauce was very vinegar tasting. They have a sign on the door about the prices are different and they are working on new menus. My problem with that is the shrimp was a $4 difference. 1) it’s not worth $20, 2) $4 is a big difference and should’ve been expressed when ordering as it would’ve changed what I was getting. Just a pretty mid experience.

Great ambience, small restaurant, service was great. Took some time but there was only 1 server, she was amazing. The only negative and is not a big deal, they only have 1 dessert on their menu and when we ask about it, server told us is first come first serve and no other option. And she apologized that they have run out and this was during Lunch time. I need to arrive early. Lol…
But I must say food was delicious and I will come back and hopefully get to taste your super popular Key lime pie!!!

Came here with a friend this afternoon for lunch. I had the fried shrimp with sweet potato fries, she had grilled shrimp and a side salad. I also got the fried cheese curds. Everything was very tasty. I’ve had the salmon on previous visits, it’s very good too.
Staff is friendly and efficient. Service was fast. Very relaxed and casual atmosphere. Has a bit of a tropical vibe.
This restaurant is located in the Historic Commercial District of Lake Wales. So when you get done eating, if you haven’t already, walk around and see some of the historic buildings.

Absolute gem of a place. Delicious fish sandwiches. Key lime pie is pretty great too. Emily was also fantastic as our server, made good recommendations and a very pleasant and sweet demeanor. Definitely coming back.

Our family dropped in for dinner and we’ve decided this is our new favorite place! We had -hands down- the tastiest shrimp and grits we’ve ever had. We also loved their smoked fish dip, and enjoyed fresh cut french fries. Our server never left us without sweet tea and the atmosphere was cozy and eclectic.
