First time going to Blackforest Bistro. I had heard so many great things about them so I already had high expectations. The spring seasonal cocktails all looked amazing and I got the Merci Mon Cherry which is basically an old fashion. I love old fashions and they provided the real cherries as the garnish. So I was happy with that. We had one of the special appetizers that the weekend, which was sushi nachos! Omg, it was a huge portion. There were two of us and in all honesty that filled us up. The sushi nachos used crispy wontons as the chips and it had ahi tuna along with crab, spicy mayo, and I believe the unagi sauce.
My friend got the pork chops and I got the salmon dish. I was pretty full so I didn’t finish my entree but it was delicious! I chose to have my salmon with the sauvignon blanc from NZ and not the chef recommended white wine listed on the menu. More so since I’m a red wine person and the only white wine I do like should be from NZ.
Lastly, this was a friendiversary, they were so kind and gave us a small chocolate box gift along with a complementary slice of dessert. The chocolate cake was very decadent. I normally don’t choose chocolate cake as my choice of dessert but I was not disappointed at all! Somewhat reminded me more of a chocolate brownie with the thick fudgy icing and the cake itself being moist. The cake tasted great with the white wine too.
I ordered to-go a slice of the smore cheesecake and took a small bite when I got home. It’s a soft and somewhat fluffy cheesecake! I put it in the fridge overnight to eat the next day.
Overall the food was amazing and I plan to go back and introduce it to more people.
Our server Johanna was also spectacular! Everyone was very friendly and removing plates or refilling drinks was done quickly. Johanna was very welcoming and she was a wonderful personality. She made us feel comfortable and was very helpful when helping us decide on dishes.

Lovely experience, amazing food, and very friendly people! Got a reservation for two on Thursday for the cheesewheel experience. Its a very cozy little place with a very nice atmosphere, it feels like the best planned dinner party at a friend’s. From when we walked in until we left everyone was super friendly and attentive. The food, was, to die for. I’ve never been a big appetizer person but the appetizers all sounded amazing and the one we got was perfection. It was such a glorious combination of ingredients, even individually the ingredients were delicious but all together it was perfection. The cheese wheel experience fettuccine was easily the best fettuccine I ha e ever had in my life, and it was a very fun experience the whole time. They even let us box up some of the pasta so we could still order dessert and they had so many delicious sounding options, we went with a blueberry cheesecake and it was so delicious and creamy and I think it was the first freshly made cheesecake ive ever eaten.
The food is absolutely perfect and the people are so attentive and friendly. It did get a little loud but it was still quieter than chains like Texas Roadhouses get. I had an amzing time and I highly recommend supporting this small business, if you said they had a Michelin star I’d believe it.

Went here on New Year’s Eve, and it was packed. They were out of some our choices, but we all found something we liked. The ranch rolls were heavenly! Best dirty martini I’ve ever had. The sea bass special was also the best fish I’ve ever eaten – I lived in Florida for 6 years and this still was the best! Dresser was amazing. You have to try the ghost hot chocolate!

This is a small local delight. It can be difficult to get in on a whim, so reservations are recommended. The chef has a small selection of extremely delicious options, and the mixologist bartender expertly concocts tantalizing libations. The service is friendly and engaging. Great spot for a romantic evening.

We love this local restaurant. The food is delicious. You can’t go wrong with the cheese wheel or ordering from their menu. Both are absolutely amazing!!!! And the servers are exceptional. Johanna is so friendly. They are all very friendly and work as a team. Kaylin is the sweetest hostess and makes you feel very welcome. Have you ever been to a restaurant where the bartender came to your table to see how you are enjoying your cocktail? Well, it happens here. He makes a wonderful smoked old fashioned. It has become our favorite restaurant in Colorado Springs!

Our lives were forever changed last night. My wife and I did the Cheese Wheel Experience at Black Forest Bistro and it was absolutely spectacular!! Our server, Tyler was a fantastic guide and we relied heavily on his suggestions! We started with a perfect Caesar salad (including the optional anchovies) and some unreal garlic bread paired with some award-winning craft cocktails. For the Cheese Wheel Experience my wife chose to add on lobster and I added the truffle cream and paired it with an elegant Chianti Classico. The pastas were so fantastic we both cried a little!! We finished the evening off with the carrot cake, which was absolutely perfect! The staff were all extremely kind and knowledgeable, the ambiance was casual and comfortable, and the food was out of this world! We are already planning our next trip back!!

I am absolutely blown away by this wonderful establishment!!!! I made an online reservation, We came for the first time for my father-in-laws birthday and they added such a nice personal touch with a hand written card everyone signed, chocolates, dessert, the staff was super friendly, place feels equally elegant and charming yet cozy and wholesome at the same time. Outdoor seating is beautiful as well, Food was fresh and terrific, staff were outstanding, prices are reasonable for the quality you’re getting. We’ll be back for sure!

We are visiting from out of town and our niece and her husband took us to Black Forest Bistro. What a treat! We all started with a drink. I loved my Maple Bacon Old Fashioned. The buns and flavored butter were delicious. We all had a different entree, and were all happy with our choices. My pork chops were done perfectly and the scalloped potatoes had nice flavor. If was served in a beautiful bowl. My husband and I shared a piece of churro cheesecake… some of the best, if not thee best, I’ve ever had. Really light! The tables were all nicely set. Cozy place. Our server was so nice, friendly-actually all the staff was very attentive. Highly recommend!!!
