I love Georgian food, and this place did not disappoint. The menu is huge, so of course we tried a little bit of everything—no regrets. The classic khachapuri? Absolutely divine. Honestly, I’m still thinking about it. I’ll definitely be back for round two.

I was pleasantly surprised to discover authentic Georgian food right here in San Francisco! I tried the famous Georgian cheeseboat (khachapuri), and it was absolutely fantastic — loaded with rich, gooey cheese and full of flavor. I paired it with a fresh Georgian-style salad, which was crisp, vibrant, and perfectly balanced. Everything I ordered was delicious and tasted truly authentic. On top of that, the customer service was outstanding — friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. Definitely a spot worth coming back to!

WE LOVE GEORGIA CHEESE BOAT!

It’s hard to imagine a better name for dinner. Who doesn’t want a hot and tasty cheese boat — with butter?!?!?

Regular and spinach cheese boats were AMAZING.
Mushroom dumplings were ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ delicious and well seasoned.
Lamb stew was excellent, hot and tons of herbs!
I was only slightly less over the moon with the salad combo, although the dolmas are TOP.
Eggplant stew was just ok to my taste.
Many more things to try.
Tarragon soda is the most insane color green but very tasty.
I had a glass of dry red Georgian wine that was delicious too.

Lose the chill low key family atmosphere. Great addition to North Beach!!

მადლობა, ქართული ყველის ნავი!

Went with my wife for early dinner(3:00 PM) on January 9, 2026. I had khachapuri adjaruli and my wife khachapuri imeruli. My khachapuri was delicious with a very soft texture, and my wife’s imeruli was even better. She could only eat half of it because the portion was too large. I visited Tbilisi a year ago, and can vouch for this imeruli to be better than any other one I ate in Tbilisi. The place is a small and quiet one and the service courteous.

Amazing Georgian Restaurant!
I’m from Russia, and I have to say-Georgian cuisine completely won me over! The khinkali were absolutely incredible: juicy, fresh, and authentic. The wine was delicious, and the uncle who served us was extremely friendly, warm, and welcoming. The whole atmosphere felt very kind and genuine.

Everything was polite, fast, and super tasty.
I definitely recommend visiting this restaurant-you’ll enjoy every moment!

I visited this restaurant on February 1, 2026, specifically to try their traditional Kharcho soup.
My expectations were quite high, so I was disappointed with the portion size. I was hoping for a generous, hearty bowl, but what arrived was a fairly small, American-standard serving. There was only one very small piece of meat — about the size of a small Russian dumpling! It’s not what you expect of a Georgian Kharcho at an authentic Georgian restaurant they claim they are.
That said, the taste was excellent! The flavor of the Kharcho was truly great — rich, spicy, and authentic. If they offered a larger portion, it would be perfect.
Overall: small serving, but great quality.

We had an amazing experience at this Georgian restaurant! The khinkali with lamb, and beef were incredibly delicious — full of flavor and perfectly cooked. The Georgian salad was fresh and tasty, and the chicken kebab was especially good.
The red wine was excellent and paired perfectly with the food.
Our server was extremely polite, attentive, and always made sure we had everything we needed. He checked on us at the right moments, and all the dishes came out very quickly.
Overall, everything was fantastic — great food, great service, great atmosphere. We will definitely be coming back!

Cheese Boat is a cozy little gem in San Francisco serving up truly authentic Georgian cuisine. Every dish we tried was excellent — full of bold, comforting flavors that instantly transported us. We ended up sharing a generous spread of appetizers because it was impossible to choose just one. The stuffed dumplings were tender and flavorful, the khachapuri was everything you’d hope for (cheesy, rich, and satisfying), and the pkhali was wonderful.

The space itself is small and inviting — perfect for a relaxed evening with friends. And the Georgian pear soda was the perfect finishing touch, light and refreshing for a hearty meal. If you’re curious about Georgian food or already a fan, Cheese Boat is definitely worth the visit.

Dear owner of this Georgian restaurant, you represent the kind of country where you cannot afford to economize on ingredients or overlook the quality of the food you make. You are very fortunate—your place is in a great area with lots of foot traffic, and I’ve visited you maybe 20 times—not because it was delicious, but because sometimes I’m lazy to cook and want to try something familiar. I’ve noticed that everyone pays attention to the flag of beautiful Georgia and your name—you really nailed it with the name. But as I felt, you seem stingy and regretful with ingredients and don’t care about sending something authentic—finding the right cheese or maintaining the quality of your baked goods, soups, and everything else. I truly want every person who visits this little corner of Georgia from the other side of the world to be filled with that spirit and atmosphere. And, of course, for it to be emphasized by the high-class food you should be making. I strongly and insistently ask you—please pay attention to what you do and what you are engaged in. You represent the kind of country where you simply have no right not to care about such things as the quality of the product and the taste of what you produce. I hope you hear me and understand what I’m trying to convey. Georgia always lives in my heart, and I would like you to be a worthy representative of this beautiful nation in the heart of San Francisco. And to all other visitors of this establishment, I want to say: In Georgia, we have incredibly delicious cuisine. What you’ve tasted here does not mean that all Georgian restaurants or the cuisine in Georgia itself tastes the same. Please don’t judge our entire culinary tradition by this place alone. I hope the person responsible for it will take this to heart and strive toward perfection.
