Had a couple meals at Viewpoint Kitchen + Bar while I was in town for the MSPT at Sycuan, and it definitely hit the mark. The food was consistently good, portions were solid, and it didn’t feel like the typical casino café situation—it had its own vibe.

I had the French toast one morning and it was great. Crispy on the edges, soft in the middle, and that honey butter they serve with it? To die for. I also tried the country fried steak, and it was right on point—crispy, flavorful, and comforting in all the right ways.

The service was quick and friendly, and the menu had a good mix of options whether you wanted something hearty or just a lighter bite. One of my favorite parts was the open, relaxed atmosphere. It was a nice change of pace from the action in the casino—good place to reset before jumping back into the grind.

Whether you’re playing poker, staying at the resort, or just looking for a quality casual spot, Viewpoint is worth checking out. I’d go back without hesitation.

AYCE steamed snow crab legs at Viewpoint restaurant in Sycuan every Wednesday from noon to close. This promo started 18 June for $49.99.

You start out with a basket of complimentary mini sourdough rolls.
Then the first plate includes two crab clusters with a side of broccolini, mini baby potatoes, half corn on the cob, and half a roasted lemon. Sauces include melted butter, cocktail sauce, and mayonnaise.

Additional plates exclude the veggies and you get two crab clusters each round on request.

There was no line but we were given 25 minute wait time. We got the text to arrive and discovered a line of people who also received the 25 minute text. It must be on rotation, staffing or they want you to go play casino games.

The snow crabs were sweet and semi easy to open. Tools were given but we brought our own kitchen sheers which made it quick and simple.

I am crab out for now but definitely a place to be if you just want strictly crab. It’s a full on restaurant so you can order from the menu.

Abdoul was our server and made sure we were on repeat and each plate came out hot. We appreciate his service.

You can sit in the patio overlooking the pool.

This was a lovely restaurant I came to for my friend’s birthday. Every guest seemed to like their dish. I ordered a club sandwich (no bacon, no tomatoes) with a side of fries but I was a bit disappointed when they brought it with bacon and tomatoes. They sent it back and corrected the order, and it ended up being pretty good and very filling. The restaurant has an outdoor terrace that has a beautiful view on the pool area.

*returned for breakfast they have good cornbread and the best biscuits and gravy!!

Had a great birthday dinner for my mom. Party of 8, we each ordered a different entree. The portions were just right. The fried chicken was the best! Very crispy on the outside and perfectly cooked! We even ordered the different options of desserts! Overall, great experience. shout out to our server Debbie who was very welcoming and extremely attentive! Only reason for not giving 5 stars is, menu options are limited.

After reading the reviews I was excited to visit Viewpoint Neighborhood Kitchen at Sycuan. Of course, I had to look at the menu prior to arrival. I was set on the calamari, chorizo mussels and bone in pork chop. You know it’s bad when the bread comes out and one of them is hard as a rock. I felt terrible sending it back but c’mon first impression.
Calamari – Jalapeno, fennel, charred lemon, meyer lemon aioli and cocktail sauce
Chorizo mussels – Chorizo, garlic, fennel, pitted olives, confit tomato, white wine, tomato sauce and grilled bread
Pork chop- Grilled pork chop, grilled asparagus, garlic mashed potatoes, apricot cranberry chutney

We asked for all three dishes to come out at the same time and all three did but the Calamari came out room temp and didn’t taste freshly fried we mentioned it to our server and he was more than willing to get us a new order. The chorizo mussels had great flavor but the olives were bigger than the mussel meat themselves which made it harder to eat. The pork chop was seasoned well so were the potatoes, the asparagus were a bit cold but I wasn’t going to be that gal. Also, it should be noted…. the menu says apricot cranberry chutney and the overload of the apricot was quite drastic, just my two cents. The second time the calamari came out, it was hot but goodness gracious I thought I was going to die from the extra sodium sprinkled on them. I held my tongue but it was so salty it literally was inedible so I apologized and just told them to take it away. Our server Carlos did the right thing and took it off the bill, he was also extra patient with us, thank you for that.

Hospitality and service in the San Diego area is second to none and this restaurant proves it every time. Thank you Luis for fantastic service. Delicious food. Nicely presented. I recommend eating outside on the deck overlooking the pool. Fantastic!

I had the steak and eggs. The steak was cooked as I requested. The biscuit and gravy was huge.

Posting this January 20, 2025.

Still is a great place to get something nice to eat.

A surprisingly tasty meal at Sycuan’s Viewpoint restaurant! An enormous club sandwich and side salad with delicious pickled onions for me, and a seriously good burger with steak fries for my husband .
Even had a cup of their enchilada soup, and it was also fantastic. Was not expecting this inside a casino . Yeah, it was a couple bucks more than a typical restaurant, but it was served fresh, quickly, and was convenient for us (because we were hungry).
The only negative we experienced, was finding the place, as the non-restaurant employees that we asked for help, didn’t seem to know the name of restaurants inside the casino, where there were, or whether they were open or not! This was certainly nothing to do with the restaurant itself, though.

Great restaurant inside the Sycuan casino – on the main floor back near the nightclub. Unlike many other of the casino restaurants, this is family friendly and guests under 21 are welcome. Prices are reasonable, portions are generous, and service is excellent. We had both dinner and brunch and both meals were delicious. Score a seat on the patio to enjoy the lovely sunsets!
