In my opinion, the macNcheese was very bland,greasy and nowhere near cheesy! At $6.95,it should at least have flavor and cheese. The dab of mayo on the hamburger bun and the thin,half slice of tomato was a slap in the face too! The only positive was the fries…Needless-to-say, I will not frequent their establishment again.

This was my first time here, so I was excited to try, however I was a little disappointed in the flavor of the food itself.. the Mac and cheese was bland, the greens had a little bit of seasoning. I was also disappointed in the Carmel cake , which was dry , the catfish needed to have a little bit more seasoning as well.. the portions of sides for the dinners were very small as well.. I also had the Polish boy which was ok but could have been better.. the cleanliness was great!! I am willing to give it another chance because I see the potential.. I was pleased with the presentation of the food however the flavor just wasn’t there ..

Tried this new soul food spot and it did not disappoint. Everything was full of flavor and the portions were generous. We ordered the smothered pork chop dinner with yams and greens, chicken and waffles and the polish boy. When I tell you everything was seasoned and cooked to perfection, I’m not lying.
The staff was super friendly which made the experience even better. We will definitely be back to our new favorite spot! A definite must try!

I had the chicken philly and along with the fish dinner with Mac and cheese. The chicken philly was good but not enough mayo on the bread. The fish didn’t taste fresh and was hard. The fries were good also the Mac and cheese was okay wasn’t cheesy enough and had a weird taste soon as u get to the middle and bottom

I was just in there and got the Catfish dinner with yams and Mac with a slice of red velvet cake. This place was so good I was craving some fried fish and it SLAPPED the fish was flakey and flavorful with lemon on it, the Mac was so good, and the yams were good I’d prob order something other than yams though. The red velvet cake was so moist and good. Fire place I appreciate the grind from the guys inside.

I ordered the catfish platter/dinner and it was superb. The star of the show was the catfish, it was so good. This was my first time eating grits with cheese, it wasn’t for me but that’s ok. I can’t wait to go back and try out the rest of the menu. I wish the owners nothing but success in the future. I shall return.

I ordered the catfish dinner. The catfish could have been cook longer the skin is lifting off the fish there could of been more season on the fish it just taste mushie. Do yourself a favor and eat here! Ordered the catfish dinner with fries and mac and cheese and everything was homemade, hot and delicious. The fries were fresh cut and cooked perfectly, the mac and cheese was delicious and the catfish was beyond incredible. Perfectly coated, seasoned and cooked. It honestly rivaled the catfish I had at a James Beard award winning restaurant in Charleston SC. Please support this local business as often as you can, you won’t be disappointed. FYI: it’s take out only so be aware.
