The term “Grinder” can be traced back to the East Coast, where during World War II, Italian immigrants set up sandwich shops close to the shipyards. Their freshly baked Italian rolls were filled with generous amounts of meats & cheeses and were then baked and garnished with lettuce & tomato. These super-sized sandwiches were a favorite of the hard-working men who ground off rivets on the metal warships. The friendly shop owners referred to these men as grinders, and the ever-popular sandwiches also came to be known as Grinders. Food and service are great. Atmosphere is a bit dated. Its not bad, or dirty, or anything, just dated. It seems the do more carry out and/or delivery than sit down, which is fine with me.

The Sunday special is a great deal. A delicious 16″ one-topping pizza with garlic and cheese bread for $19.99.
I was not a fan of the chilled marinara sauce that came with the cheese bread, I prefer mine warmed. The bread was good, with a nice amount of cheese.
The bread was colder than the pizza. The pizza traveled well home and was still cheesy, gooey good. I enjoy the cheese on top of the pepperoni.
Plenty of parking and easy in and out. There was a kiddo with a birthday package celebrating

Great environment all around. Came with a big party and Katie was an all star! Ordered the Greek salad, a pepperoni and cheese pizza, and a few sandwiches that were all great. Great portion sizes and even better service. Fun family environment and we will definitely be back!

Bellacino’s Pizza and Grinders is a great spot for food in Gahanna. Sit down inside or carry out after selecting your food options from a generous menu. The staff is incredibly helpful and friendly.
I ordered a personal pizza and my buddy got the Italian grinder. It was delicious. It was styled exactly how I like my pizza and the price is right!

The grinders and pizza are worth trying. Get a half grinder for yourself, the portions are huge. My first try was the tuna grinder, which was the worst tuna I have ever had. Cole was nice enough to let me try the turkey instead which was fantastic and I highly recommend. Thanks Cole!

I can not say enough about this restaurant. No matter what you pick from the menu, you won’t be disappointed. The Grinders and bread are absolutely delicious. AND I’m an Italian from New York, the pizza is one of the best locally that you can find. Plus, Brian the owner is fantastic. You will not find better customer service anywhere. Bonus, you can get in and out on your lunch hour. Hey Buckeyes, there is also a tv in the dining area.

This is the VERY BEST of eat in or carryout pizza, grinders (subs), salads, wings, etc you’ll ever eat!! Their food is absolutely amazing, delicious with great taste, always FRESH ingredients, best portions, good reasonable prices, you’ll see why. Never had an incorrect order, always get what you order, no mistakes, unheard of right? Orders are made quickly with abt 15-20 min wait even on their busiest times & days. Staff is welcoming, pleasant, friendly.& don’t forget the TIP jar @ the counter!! They don’t ask for it, don’t expect it but if any place deserves it, it’s this staff! Many repeat customers including us for years. If you’re eating in, they’ll bring your food to the table to you quickly. Their menu is very extensive alot chose from quite the variety for everyone, it’s ALL GOOD!! ENJOY!! & Watch sports! If you so desire.
