We tried Ethiopian cuisine for the first time and we were mighty impressed!
The flavors felt uncannily familiar to our Indian palate – bold, aromatic spices (like masalas), hearty lentil stews (like dal), crispy Veg & Chicken Sambusa (like Indian Samosa), and the tangy, spongy injera bread (like Dosa). The cheery on the top – eating everything by hand, tearing pieces of injera to scoop up the food.
Special shout-out to the wonderful manager/server for their incredible hospitality, made us feel truly at home especially with our energetic toddler❤️
Highly recommend this family-run place

First time trying Ethiopian food, I thought everything was delicious! The flavor combinations and dishes were an experience in itself. This is a wholesome family run restaurant. One of the owners, Athena, serves the food, is extremely welcoming and makes you feel like you’re right at home. The food tasted fresh and I was delighted to try some new food and bold flavors. They have a sourdough bread called injera which was so good and tasted freshly made as well. The honey wine was sweet and the cherry on top of a delicious meal. We can’t wait to come back and try more dishes!

I had a good experience with the lady who served us she was kind and welcoming. However as a native Ethiopian born and raised in Ethiopia I want to share my honest feedback about the food. The dishes didn’t taste fresh, and it felt like the food had been reheated. The doro we ordered tasted like it was cooked days earlier, and I could even feel the bones while chewing, which shows it wasn’t prepared fresh. Overall, the food didn’t taste like native, authentic Ethiopian cuisine. I hope they improve the freshness and quality, because the service itself was nice.

What an awesome meal and experience! I’ve had Ethiopian food once before and was excited to experience it again. Mitmita did not disappoint! Loved the veggie combo and the lamb. And if you are going with multiple people it’s fun to share a big platter. I had a great time speaking with the server as well, she may have also been the owner and she was happy to talk to me about Ethiopian food. She had great recommendations as well. Can’t wait to come back!

I travel for work in one of the first things I do is find Ethiopian restaurants in the area. I was pleased with this find the food was authentically great. If you like your food spicy hot then this is the place for you. And the Honey wine was very nice. The service was excellent. I gave it a 4 for atmosphere because there was a family in there who was acting like they were at home. Very loud, with their kids running around. Other than that I highly recommend you go and try this cultural experience of food.

The injera is perfect, the veggetarian dishes are excellent. We shared the vegetarian platter for two and added lamb. It was amazing. We started with vegetarian sambusa which was to die for. We go here every chance we get due to the high quality food and excellent service.
