We were looking for a place to have a work lunch and decided to try Viettown Girrawheen.
I have been past the restaurant on many occasions but didn’t realise how nice it was inside until today when a colleague suggested it.
The décor is modern Asian influenced and seating is comfortable with plenty of space. The restaurant is airy and has a great atmosphere. Music is not too loud and easy listening.
The menu is extensive and has pictures of many items. All items are explained and numbered for ordering ease.
We ordered from the counter from a well mannered server who was very helpful. Three dishes and 2 cans of drink were very reasonably priced at under $100.
The dishes were delivered promptly to our table and looked amazing. All were beautifully presented on large plates and bowls and arrived at a perfect temperature. The size of the portions were indeed very generous.
The flavours of the food tasted amazing and we have thoroughly enjoyed the meal.
All in all I rate Viettown Girrawheen at 5 stars for all catagories.

To be honest the previous reviews that I see, It doesn’t describe the taste and delicious taste of the food, all dishes came at the same time, I will come back to keep trying different dishes. Superb recommended. !

Went to dinner for a family members birthday after being here before and having a good experience a few months back.
This will be the last time. Simple ordering requests written on the phone to copy with an extra side of rice. We were told the stir fried dishes may take a while which was the opposite of what happened aside from one dish. Pad Thais came out within 5 minutes before the entrees, then two of the same soups came out, only ordered one and the waitress intimated we had ordered it until we showed her the order on the phone.
More stir fried Shaking beef came out in the version we dir not order which was $10 more and gad no fried rice. This version basically had a bag of spinach leaves and a whole onion included with sparse beef.
The next dish that came out that should have been accompanied by rice was honey chicken. Unfortunately this was 80 percent batter with very little chicken.
The final dish was a simple stir fried beef vermicelli salad, however like the rice missing for the Shaking beef, the extra side rice for the honey chicken, the stir fried beef vermicelli salad never arrived. This was after 35 minutes from ordering and everyone else had eaten.
When I brought these issues up with the waitress, she did not appear to care. The missing rices and dish, I had no choice but to ask for my money back. This took sometime for her to process my request.
The birthday was spoilt by poor attention to detail and service without much care for the customer.
Others in the restaurant were also having issues with their orders so we weren’t alone.
I ended up going home and had toast.

Seriously, are you kidding me!! I ordered one Rare beef noodle soup for takeaway, Then I really received a raw beef Vietnamese rice noodle soup, I can’t believe such a restaurant can pass the food safety and hygiene inspection.

I want to claim that 3.8 review and all the complaints from the previous people. We came to this place because from what I read the food was spectacular! AND YES IT IS! HUGE PLATES, delicious flavors, wonderful juices AND THE ATTENTION OF EACH PERSON WAS FIRST CLASS!!!! The place is very beautiful, they took into account all the details, a beautiful menu in full color, the atmosphere, very nice music,the decoration and even the smallest detail, the beautiful printed napkins!!! I hope that everything goes super well for them and that they are long-lived… Many BLESSINGS FOR THIS PLACE! excellent energy =)

Went on a Saturday night. There was a young girl and boy in charge. Service was underwhelming. Meals we received were good. One dish took 45mins and we ended up taking it away. Their focus is not pleasing customers, frustrating them seemed more like their goal. I guess the owner was away that night.
