My burger was a bit red, undercooked but very good. (I wasn’t asked how I wanted it cooked. I also asked for no cheese, but it still came with it.) Walking in for the first time, it was unclear the name was no longer the same, had changed to Bacchus. It was also unclear whether we needed to wait to be seated or to just seat ourselves- what the establishment required as it appears the cafe r resembles more of a sports pub inside, gold country club outside, cafe seating in the back near the restroom.
That being said, it was a beautiful hide away for a beer with a quiet view of the golf course or private small hang out for football game in the other room.
Menu is small. What we found when we googled places to eat does not reflect the small cafe Google mentioned, at least not noted.
Plenty of parking.

This was our first visit on Vashon Island and OMG what a gem!
Sandpiper Cafe delivered on every level:
There warm hospitality, outstanding customer service, and the kind of comfort food that just hits the soul.
While, sitting on the patio enjoying our drinks overlooking the golf course made everything taste even better.
The viewing was stunning, the atmosphere was relaxing, and the whole experience unforgettable.
Special Thank You to Peter (cook), Laura and Sam for their warm hospitality.

Didn’t really think i was going to love a small club house resturant. But. It was wonderful. The best French fries I’ve had in a long time. Had the pulled pork sliders and had trouble finishing them… delicious! Wife had the chowder and it was splendid. Staff was very friendly and welcome.

Great fish and chips! Lightly battered, and crispy chips. Wonderful service and atmosphere. They were playing sports on the tv, and had Pink Floyd for the music. I’d have added a picture, but I ate it all. Come here after visiting Oscar the Bird King, or after playing a round of golf.

Nice surprise for a darn good burger and fries. Quiet and chill atmosphere with a super helpful staff. Definitely will come back for a good burger the next time we’re on Vashon again.

We went twice for breakfast at this cafe during our 3 day stay in Juneau. We had the same waiter both times. Be aware that portions are large. First time, I ordered the lox and bagel and the 2nd time the quiche. I very much enjoyed the quiche because it was served with a generous serving of fruits. Great spot.

Good food and service, great view of the greens.
When we found that one had to order at the window, find the table and then food would be brought out we feared the worst.
It ended up being a really good meal, generous portions, reasonable pricing, and great atmosphere. Mimosa was on the small side (kid portion) but still a great place to come back.

Food was good, service was great, but the bar can get really loud. It’s small and with enough people it can make regular conversations difficult. There is a dining room so folks have an alternative.

The Sandpiper Cafe is one of the best kept secrets on the island! The salads and sandwiches are wonderful. I loved the cashew chicken sandwich. The fish and chips are truly, honestly, really the very best on Vashon! The outdoor patio is covered and very comfortable with padded seats and water and condiments available. When the weather is good, the food and views there cannot be beat, anywhere on the island. Should it be too chilly or wet, dine inside. Ordering is done at the counter where a full bar is available. Food is then delivered to your table whether it’s inside or out.

Update (9/15/22) – eating here feels like eating on the best back porch on Vashon! One of the best kept secrets for locals to meet and share a drink while watching the sunset over the Olympics!
We heard good things about the food and were not disappointed! New ownership is offering a limited menu but promises more options soon.
Update – always enjoy the view from the deck. Definitely a favorite with the locals!
