We got there just before they opened. Shady outside but a little better once we’re inside. Asked for drinks, sweet tea wasn’t ready and apparently wasn’t going to be ready anytime soon. 2nd guest came I again asked for sweet tea…in Texas we all know how long it takes to make a pitcher of sweet tea…Anyways!! We were brought out chips which were crisp and light with three yes, 3 types of salsa. Light & warm tomato blend, queso and red salsa. Then our waitress came out, no one other than our party of 5 and another customer. I guess our waitress was in a hurry but definitely not to make sweet tea. I could tell because of the tapping of her pen on the menu. Food ordered and we wait. Wait was short and food came from the back by cooks. Fast and they were friendly definitely an older generation out to make it in this world! Tacos were okay. Not the best bust but not terrible either. Rice came in and was fluffy with good flavor. This place over all was good for the amount of food ordered and refilling our drinks. Guess this new generation and not morning people or who knows maybe she had a bad morning.

Have quickly grown to love this place in Sherman. Let’s be honest, there is no shortage of Mexican Restaurants in Sherman/Denison. Finding one that stands out above the others is sometimes difficult. But the flavor of everything here is excellent. Salsa is excellent and they bring queso out with the chips too. A few surprises like the Hawaiian Fajitas really stand out.

Im not one to complain but I order from there at least once a week and I’ve never had a problem. I’ve never had to check my order always bragged about how great there tacos are. I don’t live in Sherman so I drove 20 minutes into town to get there tacos. I ordered 10 beef tacos and they were the wrong kind. I wasn’t a fan and I only ate one and then had to throw them away.

Last time i went with my family i got camarones a la mexicana with rice and beans and flour tortillas on the side. I got an horchata to drink. Super amazing, actually best ive ever had. Its so good. It wasn’t to busy when we went to that was a plus. They took our order pretty quick and gave a chips, cheese and salsa to start off with. Over all good food!

An absolute blessing of a restaraunt. A gorgeous little dive next to the express mart by Glorias and Mariannas where the street tuff dragster hang out Loved IT!! Everything is as Authentic as it needs to be. With Variety. Could possibly be a touch more if I had ordered the right thing.

Sweet potato Nopalito looks delicious. 10-3-23: I have been coming here for several months now…it gets better seems like each time…prolly just getting used to the laid back lifestyle in the area ….pretty good families live around here. The staff is always nice and seem to be humble people honest working, great Kitchen chefs here

Easy to get to and not far from old center of town. Has plenty of parking, which is nice for the lunch rush. Found the workers to be friendly and a joy to talk too. Food was excellent, attention was given to all items on my plate. Everything had a good flavor. I was mad that I could not eat all they gave me. My visit was during lunch and everything come out hot and tasty despite the lunch rush. Was very happy to discover Arroyo’s.

Hours of operation are inaccurate lies, they refused to serve me and my family tho we were there in 30 minutes before their schedule closing time. Their open sign was on and was left on even after we were told they would not serve food or drinks any longer.

Absolutely delicious! The staff is cheerful and helpful. Great selection and prices. I’ve never had to wait for a table, even at lunch time.

They do have pretty descent food which is the only reason for the one star. However, their bathroom is a little sketchy! The entire place seemed dirty. Menus were filthy! Tables were being cleaned by kids! Not sure why people eat at this place at all. But, the taco meat was really good, just hard to enjoy with the dirtiness of everything around me. Waitress was horrible and didn’t really communicate with us at all. Didn’t give us any refills or bring us our ticket or offer to go boxes! I will NOT be going back!
