If I could give more than five stars, I absolutely would. I’ve visited Springtide twice now — once in the summer and again in January 2026 — and both times have been outstanding. From the top-notch service to the incredible food and the beautifully vibey atmosphere, everything has been spot on.
I would highly recommend the seafood chowder — I’ve had it on both visits and… just WOW It’s honestly unforgettable. Another firm favourite of mine is the scallops — cooked to perfection.
The cocktails deserve a special mention too — they were soooo tasty I recently had the Pornstar Martini, and it was absolutely delicious.
A huge thank you to the wonderful staff for being so hospitable and accommodating, especially when a friend and I visited recently with our dogs. We ordered meals for them too, and the manager was absolutely lovely — happily removing ingredients that weren’t suitable and turning it into a wholesome, delicious meal just for them. That level of care really stood out.
Springtide is now one of my absolute favourite places in Cornwall. If you’re reading this — you have to go. You won’t be disappointed!!

The best sunday lunch ive had in a long time! Vegetables,meat,gravy and yorkshires were all 10/10,the best cauliflower cheese ive had in a resturant. lovely flavour on the veg and meat,proper roasties lightly herbed, same for the gravy, we had pork and beef dinners,they were both really good cuts of meat, the kids fish and chips were proper fish and chips aswell, good portions all around, deserts were amazing aswell,lovely level of spice and sweetness, the spiced toffee sponge topped the meal off perfectly. Staff were amazing! They were super busy and still managed to accomadate 4 adults and 2 kids, they were polite and so helpfull, a real credit to the resturant. Lovely atmosphere too,and our table had a nice view down to the harbour also.

Myself and my partner came to Springtide and we where not disappointed in the slightest. All the staff where really lovely and made sure we where well looked after throughout.
The food was delicious. I ordered the scallops which where cooked to perfection for starters and my partner ordered the crab cocktail which was so creamy and yummy. For mains, I ordered the prawn linguine which I’m pretty sure had freshly made linguine and my partner ordered the seafood chowder which had an array of seafood all cooked beautifully. All the seafood was caught locally from the bay that the restaurant sits on which was amazing to hear.
The price is high but you are definitely paying for quality food items here.

We were a group of six. The food here was excellent, everyone was incredibly happy and the service was 10/10. I unfortunately got sick from an oyster but I won’t blame the restaurant, you take your life in your hands when you eat them! Two others also had them and were completely fine, I just got unlucky. I would recommend people to come here, the fish is so fresh, and the crab mac and cheese is out of this world good.

We had an amazing meal light night! David very kindly look after us. I asked David for his recommendation on both main, starters and sides and he did not disappoint! Oysters were incredibly fresh, mussels were huge, and farmed less than 1mile from the restaurant. Wine selection was strong and all round a fantastic meal.
If you’re on the fence, just go! You will not be disappointed.
Not only was the food incredible, but the care and attention that was showed by David really elevated the meal!

Delicious fresh seafood, price worth paying for. The mussels with the Thai broth was to die for, scallops were a bit over cooked and undersized for its price. Overall, would recommend it if you like a view of the harbour at sunset.

Managed to get a walk-in table in high season which was lucky, had no idea what treat we are in for. Everything was perfect – great menu options, fresh seafood, local beer, good wine, outstanding service and great views. One of the best restaurants we visited during our week long road trip around Cornwall.

I had made a reservation through open table a couples of week ago. I’m glad I did! Very cozy ambience and had a nice view. The location is amazing. Atmosphere was lovely. The food was exceptional – I had seafood chowder, while my girlfriend enjoyed skate wing. Both dishes were delicious!

We were glad we booked dinner reservations online, as it was incredibly busy on a Monday night! This spot is a true hidden gem – delicious food, lovely ambiance, and top-notch service. David was super friendly and even surprised my husband with a complimentary glass of bubbly for his birthday. We couldn’t find any fault with our dinner experience, so we’d highly recommend it!
