I called the restaurant to tell them the main was missing. First they asked me if the bags came sealed – yes they did, two bags, both stapled and not ripped or damaged in any way.
Secondly they asked me to confirm the dish was in fact missing because the female lady on the phone insisted she packed the bags. Yes – no Massaman Beef in the bags. She told me she packed it so Uber must have taken it – again I told her the bags were sealed and not ripped, so was she suggesting the driver had taken the dish out and then stapled the bag back together with damaging it?
After that a male was put on the phone to tell me everything the first staff member had told me. He said she packed it herself and would know if something was missed, and asked me confirm that the bags arrived open… Again, no they didn’t. They were sealed. Stapled. Not damaged in any way. He advised it must have been Uber. At this point I said I’d request my refund from Uber and leave this review on the restaurant website so that anyone else ordering food via Uber thinks twice.
As we start serving up my family told me we hadn’t received one of the rice side dishes. I called the restaurant, the man I’d just spoke to answered, and I told him back that we were actually missing two dishes from the order. Now he tells me it was definitely in the bag because he packed the order himself… So which is it? Did she pack it, or did he? As I said – clearly lying.
Uber is not perfect, but their service or their driver are not to blame here. They will cop the fee of the refund, not the restaurant. Either they forgot the dishes and couldn’t own up to it, or they just wanted to make some quick cash without the work. Shameless and deceitful, and their regular local customer is now lost.
Uber driver will absolutely get a good rating and review out of this.
Food served quite fast and taste was actually quite good for some dishes. But the thing was every dish have the same vegetables for side. And the assorted vegetables we ordered was just exactly the same as the side of other dishes, only with bigger portion. And that dishes did not taste like thai style. And the veggies were not delicious and did not match with each other.
The Thai milk tea lack the flavour of tea and it was a bit too sweet and milky to me. Didn’t think it tasted very authentic.
Overall, the quality of food was ok but the service needed to be improved, especially under very busy hour.
Was met with very friendly staff as soon as I walked in. It wasn’t overly busy inside so service was fairly quick.
I went for vegetarian spring rolls for an entree which I’ve had before but decided to try something different for the main which was Gai Yang and side order of rice. All the food was delicious and there was hardly a morsel left. With a beer added it came to around $35 which I felt was great value considering how full I felt.
If you’re in the area stop by a meal with great taste and value.
