I’ve usually had good experiences with this ice cream shop since they opened, and the staff has always been friendly. Unfortunately, today’s visit was disappointing. The cone I was given was already completely melting before it was even handed to me. The server acknowledged it herself and was very polite about the situation, so I want to be clear that I don’t blame her.
When I asked if I could get a new cone, she contacted the owner, but the request was refused and I wasn’t offered any other solution besides taking the melted one. That was frustrating, especially since the issue was recognized before it was even served.
Situations happen and I understand busy or hot days can make things difficult, but better customer resolution would have gone a long way. I hope they’re able to improve how situations like this are handled in the future. Wishing them the best going forward.
