The garlic bread had a crispy crust and soft bread! Every bite was soo good!
Jersey’s pizza was yummy and fluffy! I like it when there is a crisp in the crust and the dough is soft! Very fresh out of the oven!
The guy at the bar as really nice! He’s so friendly and upbeat! Really good service and helpful!
The ambiance is very relaxing! We sat st the bar and I love that there’s a raised step for our feet!
Sunday 12/28…After 45 minutes no salads no pizza. I realized everyone that ordered after us had been served and one table had already left. My husband went to the register to complain. He said it was obvious the staff forgot about our order and that we would have to wait “a few more minutes.” No apologies and still no urgency to rectify the situation. They didn’t even bring us our salads.
From our table we could see one of the employees discussing our receipt with another employee. They both looked at us and immediately turned away. It was clear they forgot about our order.
At this point, it’s well over an hour. My husband went back, canceled the order and asked for a reimbursement. However, they were unable to reimburse us without a manager or owner’s approval. As they weren’t able to get in contact with the owner we decided to leave.
The next day, Monday 12/29, my sister called and spoke to the owner/manager. He was apologetic and explained he gets so many people asking for their money back that he had to set a pre-approval policy before any refund is issued. Hmm, this is not a good policy and why would so many people want their money back?? Instead of changing his policy he needs to change whatever is causing the problem. Anyhow, he said he’d reimburse us.
Three days later, Wednesday 12/31, I checked my account and no reimbursement. My sister called him again and he said, “I’m busy and haven’t had time to do it. It’s on my list and I’ll get to it later!” She tells him he’s had 2/3 days to do it and he has our money. It should be a priority! He says “you know what, I’m busy right now and I don’t have time. Do what you want, write your review and say whatever you want. I’m not giving you a refund. I’ll give my feedback too.” She hung up on him. I believe it was never his intention to reimburse us. So we did a chargeback.
As an owner of a business, we thrive on our reputation for great customer service. We want to make our customers happy by providing quality product and service. This guy was unprofessional, rude and obviously lacked the slightest bit of decent customer service. Now I see why his staff are rude, they take after the owner/manager. His problem with so many unsatisfied customers is him…he’s an unprofessional business owner that doesn’t know how to manage a business…terrible customer service.
I’m curious to see what his response will be.
Also, they took down 90% of the memorabilia and charm of what made Jersey’s a local staple. Now it looks empty, like it has no soul, which is fitting, considering.
The service is terrible. The new owner loves to stand behind the bar and play bartender to all of his drinking buddies while a line of disgruntled people waiting for their orders piles up. I’ve witnessed this on multiple occasions. He doesn’t help or ask any of the customers; he just walks by as if they don’t exist. Then it’s straight back to behind the bar while his kitchen staff are clearly in over their heads.
I called in an order, and Tiffany told me it would be ready at 8:15 PM. I purposefully delayed until 8:20 PM to even show up because I know how notoriously bad this place is with service nowadays. I stood there and waited for 20 minutes before having to actually go back into the kitchen and ask them what was going on. This was the second time I inquired about my order, mind you. The first time they told me they were “working on it.” Not one time did an employee or the owner come to check and make sure everything was going smoothly; nobody asked my name or even acknowledged that any of us were there waiting. The owner actually walked by multiple times and just walked by the line of annoyed customers as if they didn’t exist. Imagine my surprise when the girl walks over to where they keep the pizza heated while it waits to be picked up and pulls out my order… IT HAD BEEN SITTING THERE THE WHOLE TIME. What a joke.
Don’t be surprised if you show up to this place and there’s nobody working the front desk or answering the phones. The staff always seems extremely run thin and like they don’t have the necessary people or leadership to make things work. You can’t help but feel for them, but ultimately it’s not the customer’s job to service themselves. (No pun intended.)
Everybody I’ve talked to about Jersey’s has said it’s gone downhill. They weren’t wrong.
