I had to make a quick run to Flatrock and was craving shawarma, so I placed an online order here, not really knowing what to expect. Ordering online was quick and easy, however; I do wish they had an option to track the order. I did not know when to pick up, so I waited about 15-20 mins. I walked in and it was clean, but empty. I waiting a few moments for a very friendly man to great me. He was kind and welcoming. I waited maybe 10 more minutes, which was fine. The food ws delicious, hot, and fresh. My daughter did say her chicken in her shawarma wrap was a little on the dryer side, other than that, we were very pleased and planning on returning in the near future! My wrap was very moist and flavorful and the crispy texture of the wrap is perfect. The ser ing for the 6.99 garlic sauce with pita bread is HUGE. We had plenty left over. My youngest ordered the kids spaghetti, which was also a large portion for the price (and also came with a drink), he absolutely loved it!

The first few times me and my fiance ate here we had takeout but as we kept coming we found the dine in experience to be very relaxed and inviting! the man who works here runs a very clean and welcoming establishment and i love the shawarmas + garlic sauce! the wait time is usually only 15-30 minutes depending on how much you get, very reasonable and very nice staff! food quality is over the roof i definitely reccomend your visit

Bashar’s continues to be an enjoyable dining experience for my family. Lost track of how many times we’ve been here, and have yet to have a substandard dinner. My wife and I shared a Chicken Shawarma dinner with Hummus and Garlic spread appetizer. This came with a very generous and tasty house salad and lots of pita bread. There was easily enough food for four people; can’t imagine anyone walking away from here not sated. And our host was perfect! A wonderful dining experience!

I stopped in to purchase an order of garlic sauce and pita to complement homemade lamb gyros at home on a whim. I had never been before and one of the employees was so friendly and helpful. I am looking forward to dining there with my family in the near future.

I ordered lamb kabob dinner. The pieces of lamb were the size of dimes and way over cooked. Also got the chef special with chicken over done and dry. They have a garlic sauce you pay for and is ok but not what I expected. Everything was ok but nothing I would do again. So many good middle eastern places that are better. Not sure how they have survived for 15 years.

Absolutely delicious! I got the chicken kebab meal expecting to not be able to finish it and have to take some home. I can’t believe I ate the whole thing! My friend got the kefta and hummus sandwich and loved it.

The only negatives are:
1) terrible beer selection
2) there was good swing music playing when we entered, but they changed it to a religious program.

I’m very glad I came here but I don’t want to listen to a religious program while I’m eating. Otherwise, this review would have been 5 stars even with a poor beer selection.

Highly recommended!

I’m back to edit my review after dining here multiple more times. The Middle Eastern cuisine at Bashar’s is unmatched. Hands down a hidden gem in Flat Rock. This restaurant would outdo nearly any other Middle Eastern restaurant closer to my home in Dearborn. The seasoning is on point and everything is made fresh and presented picture perfect. Pictured is the chicken shawarma combo I had the first visit, followed by pictures of their chicken shawarma plate with rice, hummus, garlic, fattoush, and lentil soup. Can’t wait to try even more items.

What a fantastic experience!!!! Ofil the owner and chef is so personable and accommodating. The meal was exquisite and unique given the extremely reasonable price. The atmosphere eclectic and extremely basic added to the charm. Definitely worth the trip up the unassuming gravel road.

This was only my second time eating middle eastern food and it wasn’t bad. I got a shawarma mix sandwich and my wife got the fattoush salad with chicken on the side and we got a large order of garlic sauce. The price wasn’t bad for the amount of food that we received. We were greeted by the owner, who was a very nice gentleman, when we walked in and had the whole place to ourselves. He was telling us that he makes his money in catering and carryout orders. One down side was that they accidentally added pickle and tomato to my shawarma when I didn’t want either. To my surprise he brought me out a brand new sandwich and let me take the other one home, free of charge. If you’re looking for decent middle eastern food for an ok price I would recommend giving this place a try.
