Alessandro and Anna Maria did an excellent job. The refreshed menu has real Italian flavor and every dish tastes fresh and well prepared. The service is friendly and consistent. You feel welcomed the moment you walk in.
If you want quality Italian food in White Plains, put this restaurant at the top of your list. The atmosphere, the food, and the hospitality make it an easy choice. I am glad they are back and will be returning often.
I first came in on New Year’s Eve, one of the busiest nights of the entire year. The restaurant was packed and buzzing, and even with how incredibly busy it was, I was still very satisfied with my experience — which says a lot. You can’t judge a restaurant based on one visit, especially not on one of the craziest nights of the year, but La Bocca handled it with grace, warmth, and care.
The experience is elevated even more by the people. Giselle, the bartender, is an absolute star — so friendly and welcoming, an amazing mixologist, and always has the best recommendations. She truly makes you feel taken care of.
The owners, Alessandro and Anna, are incredibly warm, inviting, and hands-on. You don’t just feel like a customer here — you feel like a guest in their home.
The whole vibe feels like a little piece of Sicily, away from Sicily. Cozy, charming, and full of heart. La Bocca isn’t just a restaurant — it’s an experience, and one I’ll happily return to again and again.
First thing was the portion size was significantly smaller and not worth the $30/plate. No wine menu, but we were charged $15 per glass of wine for what tasted like basic bottom shelf wine. Food tasted ok for me, my coworker said she didn’t like hers and the custard (grainy texture instead of smooth) & tiramisu desserts was dry. Waiters were polite and attentive. Not worth the price anymore, and part of the charm that we loved was talking to Tony. Unfortunately, we won’t be coming back.
Mike has crafted a truly curated cocktail list—every drink feels intentional, creative, and unlike anything I’ve had elsewhere. You can tell he puts real thought into flavor combinations, and somehow everything just works. Each cocktail feels like a little discovery.
Beyond the drinks, Mike is exactly the kind of bartender you hope to find: personable without being pushy, professional yet warm, and genuinely passionate about what he’s serving. He asks great questions, makes thoughtful recommendations, and seems to read the room effortlessly.
If you’re curious about trying something new—or just want an impeccable drink made by someone who clearly loves his craft—ask for Mike. He’s the kind of bartender who makes you want to come back just to see what he’s mixing next.
