Driving by I had to stop to fix a flat at the tire shop next door when I saw this restaurant sign and decided to give it a try because I love Central American food, Specially when it’s Baho as it’s hard to find. That was my intention but they only serve it on the weekends. Decided to try instead the Chancho con Yuca. I have to say that it was ok but too overpriced ($14 total) for the amount of the portion served. Restaurant and restroom very clean.

Noticed this restaurant a while back finally decided to hive it a try. Order Nacatamalas, Baho and Cacao. Option on the Baho was white rice or gallopinto. Bread with the nacatamal. As you can see the nacatamal was soupy over cooked. The rice and beans are perfect for someone living in Nic. If you like your throat scratch otherwise come on in Calif you can find better beans. The Baho was again over cooked and mushy. Cabbage salad..you can’t go wrong..but they did need it lemon and salt. To top the Nacatamal was giving with a toasted sliced bread ! if you bring kids be aware there’s groups drinking beer., buy this was during lunch hours. Of forgot Cacao was not good for my Nicaraguan taste buds.. I think they added too much clove and cinnamon. But to each it’s own happy eating

Place was good 3 needs a bit of more attention. Food is a 4 gallo pinto was good, plantains well cook, beef was overcooked and chewy. Drinks where ok. Friendly staff. Overall a solid 4. Definitely would give them a visit in the future.

I always enjoy your food but the chicharrón is just the same you find in the supermarket. Very thin pork belly skin with no meat in it. Not a quality chicharrón. Other than that everything I have tried is very good. It was 12.11 for the service. I can tell the yuca was very soft and flavory.

This is one of the best restaurants I have ever been to. Small businessed are the best!!! I love the variety in the menu. There’s more than 15 major dishes to choose from. The plantains are perfect and the chicken and beef tastes like it was barbecued in the back! You know the food is going to be good if you see a woman ABUELITA in the back cooking the food. The owner was very helpful and even checked on us to make sure we enjoyed our food. We will definitely be back again!!!

The food in this place is not the best thing, there are other better to enjoy Nicaraguan food. They serve little and with this pandemic the prices are too high. For three plates of food and 6 soft drinks I paid $83.00 is an exaggeration. Not even in a good restaurant do they charge so much. First and last time I visit this place. I prefer to go to the 27th restaurant in Los Angeles, there it is worth going to eat. That chicken meatloaf soup is not good.

I was just in Nicaragua 4 months ago so this place made me feel like I’m on vacation again with the same authentic food found in Nicaragua! Delicious and the portions are very adequate. Unfortunately they do not have a alcohol license so no Toña beers But come hungry and try the Fritanga! Pro tip, ask if they have fresh sweet bread “pico” like kiss. It’s a delicious snack or desert under $2!

I always try to stop by this place every time I’m in SoCal. I placed an order to pick up. I was greeted with warm and friendly atmosphere..I ordered Fritanga, Baho, and Nacatamales. Everything was on point. Very tasty, delicious, fabulous flavor- missed my Nicaraguan food. Thank you for the delicious food!! I will definitely be returning!
