We were in the mood for Chinese food and decided to give this place a chance. Easy place to get in and out of. It has a small interior but when we were there there were plenty of open tables. It seems like most of this establishments customers get take out vs. dining inside. Waitress was not the friendliest (maybe it was just a cultural personality that I was not used to), but she was very tentative to our needs. The food was reasonable priced but I thought the portion sizes were rather small. Tasty food, fresh and served very hot which I liked. Was is great. . . no, but was it good enough that I would go back. . . . sure. If you are in the mood for Chinese and in the Tomball area give New Chang’s Gourmet a chance.

Outstanding food, ordered it, To Go and it was ready in five minutes. I travel all over the United States and when I do eat out, it’s usually chinese because of a lightness and healthy option.
I usually judge the restaurant on their hot and sour soup. This soup was probably the best I’ve ever had. And I got chicken with vegetables and brown sauce, which again also is fantastic. Serving size os good, so I’ll have the rest for breakfast. Everything was very flavorful. Highly recommend

So freaking good, had the crispy vegetable rolls- best veggie rolls I have ever had. The fried rice contains enough veggies so you can feel good about it being fried- flavor is good throughout and the sweet and sour chicken is great. We have been looking for a good chinese place in tomball and we have found it! And the portions are great value for the price

Great serving size, friendly service and tasty food! The orange chicken was delicious, it comes with a little bit of broccoli. Egg rolls are a good size and held their crunching until we made it home. Fried dumplings have a special texture I haven’t seen before. They were like cloud fluffy but with delicious fried flavor. Pork fried rice was a generous portion and not too greasy. Overall excellent experience, we will definitely come back!

This establishment offers some of the most delectable Chinese cuisine I have experienced in quite some time. The premises were immaculately maintained, the service was expeditious, and the tea was devoid of any peculiar aftertaste. Furthermore, the pricing was very reasonable.
I opted for the sweet and sour pork accompanied by the hot and sour soup, which, in my opinion, was the finest I have ever had the pleasure of consuming.
I wholeheartedly endorse this establishment.

My wife walked in to order take-out and was yelled at by a male employee who insisted to know what try of fried rice she wanted. When my wife asked why he was yelling at her, he replied he did not yell at her which caused another patron to correct him and say yes he did. Received the food and we were very disappointed with the Sweet and Sour Chicken.

Great food, good portions, and fair prices. I was in the mood for Chinese cuisine and this place hit the spot. I had General Tso’s chicken and it was excellent. Crispy chicken and a spicy, tangy, sweet sauce. We also tried the spicy pepper beef and everything was tender and prepared with care. I asked for extra spicy and they delivered.

Walking in it looks like they basically do to go or delivery, smells funny maybe because of of all the to go containers & bags etc. Tables were clean bathrooms had soap – toilet paper but no hot water to wash hands. Service was good but wouldn’t let me order a side of beef fried rice for my son only the huge one, that’s why 4 stars. Live the fact they don’t have plastic to eat out of!! Food was good and hot that’s a plus! Thanks!

My community told me this is the place for Chinese food in Tomball, was excited until the food wasn’t expected.

Food is another thing. I order the chicken chow main, come with egg roll, fried rice and choices of soup which is Hot & Sour soup.
The only thing I like was the egg roll with fresh mustard and that’s great, few Chinese restaurant even offer that and they usually have the packages which is just plain.
The chicken chow main was very blend to me and I had to add my soy sauces.
The fried rice is ok due to taste maybe over MSG I feel. Don’t get me wrong MSG is ok but when use to much it’s over powers it and some people get. Symptoms with it.
The Hot & Sour soup is ok not the best due to they have sugar in it which makes the Hot & Sour not real.
Would I go back again maybe just for the egg roll but nothing else.
