tried the tenderloins at Roberts Americus restaurant in Americus $9.50 per tenderloin with sides extra. Excellent corn nuggets. the breaded tenderloin has a delicious well seasoned crust. unfortunately the tenderloin is so thin that’s all you can taste is the breading. the grilled is also thin and completely lost in the bun so we tossed the bun and ate it plain. fries crispy outside, pillowy inside, just as we like them. slaw dry and a bit bitter. we’d return for the corn nuggets and skip the tenderloins. unfortunately they forgot the mayo and everything was in styrofoam.

A lovely little hometown restaurant between Lafayette and Delphi. Didn’t have the killer tenderloin, the regular is, per Indiana usual, bigger than the bun. Great folks running the place. Plan there to be there for a minute.

This is a small town called Americus. This is a cozy diner with decor giving it a rustic cabin feel which i like. The food is fantastic. I had a prime rib sandwitch on a grilled toast type bread. Great taste. I also got coleslaw. Homemade i would guess. Also very good flavor. My two daughters had the hefty 1/2 pound burger. Huge burger full of flavor. One daughter had to get box to take home. Also got fries and they were cooked just right. Wife got hot ham and cheese with cup of creamy potato soup. Ham sandwich different than normal but still got a lot of ham and it had the melted cheese. She also really liked the soup. For appetizers we got fried mushrooms and motzerella cheese sticks. The cheese sticks the kids loved. They were actually juicy inside. The mushrooms were crisp on the outside and cooked to perfection on the inside. This restaurant was well worth the short detour on our way home from purdue. If anywhere close, please try to go you will not be disappointed.

Can you say Lasagna on Wednesdays? Fine local folks at this neighborhood pub… treated me like I wasnt a dirty out-of-towner, and I liked the lasagna enough to eat 2 portions!! Cheap buckets of Coors Light- how can you go wrong?

A great stop in Americus, Indiana. I had the broasted chicken on a Sunday, when the salad bar is included with the dinner.

The chicken was good and juicy on the inside and crispy on the outside. Not greasy.

Also good that the food isn’t salty for people that need to be careful about salt intake. That’s what the salt shaker on the table is for those who want it.

Fresh salad bar along with homemade slaw, macaroni salad, etc.

Very friendly family-run business.

Anyone who complains about the atmosphere there, is someone who just likes to complain. For goodness sake, there is a wooden carved bear greeting you at the door. What did you expect, white table cloths and waiters in tuxes. Food, service and staff all amazing. Best tenderloin, onion rings, ice tea I’ve had in long time. “I’ll be back ” like Arnold says……..ate with 21 people in our group and not one person complained about anything. They’re doing it right.
