Oxtails should fall off the bone. Their oxtail meat is TOUGH!!!. I see all the good reviews, but I’m convinced that in Columbia, Maryland the taste of these elite folks are not up to par to what Jamaican cuisine should be however, I think the background of this restaurant is more Trinidad. I usually go to Tashas Ankh on liberty Road. Beef patty was delicious, but I really came here for the oxtail. There was no gravy, oxtail was dry, and way more rice than needed and four oxtails – all for a whopping total of $37.00. Oxtails don’t have to be saturated with gravy, but they could at least be succulent and savory!! If you can make the trip to Tasha‘s Ankh on Liberty Rd., Baltimore, MD GO!

It was my first time coming here off of the recommendation of my brother. He definitely did not steer me wrong. Upon walking in I was greeted by the workers and the owner. My order was ready and I was able to chat with the owner before picking it up. I ordered the brown stew chicken, chicken curry combo with the side of regular Mac n cheese, and plantains and the lunch chicken, shrimp Mac
I even got some roti for the curry chicken. Everything was quite flavorful, I really recommend this place if you’re in the mood for Caribbean food.

The food was so good and was hot when it came out. I got the curry coat with jollof rice and plantain. The curry got was delicious and had a lot of flavor. The jollof rice had a nice smokey flavor and the perfect amount of spice. The plantains were cooked perfectly.

Went here tonight for the first time and ordered at the kiosk. I got the boneless spicy jerk chicken combo and chose rice and beans and zucchini as my sides. I got SO much rice with my order (not complaining!) and everything was so well seasoned and delicious. There was rice under my chicken as well in the side dish compartment – not sure if that is how it’s supposed to come or not. My husband got the curry coconut shrimp combo with mac and cheese and zucchini as the sides, but there was no rice under the shrimp like there was under my chicken. Besides that, everything was so good and the portions were generous. My chicken was definitely spicy, but that is what I ordered and wanted. Will definitely return to try some of their other dishes.

I’ve been living in Columbia MD for almost 3 years and I just found out about this restaurant last week. I heard about the Mac and Me Crazy (Jerk Mac with Chicken & Shrimp ) so I decided to try it. It is SO Slap Yo’ Mama Good y’all! It’s SEASONED like how WE like it. I dare anyone to try it and say that they don’t like it. I will call you a liar STRAIGHT to your face! I also had the ginger punch and sorrel mix and that drink was hittin’ too. I will be back to try their other dishes.

Let me just paint the picture if I may! I left my place of employment early because I wasn’t feeling well. I arrive at Anegada’s Carribean Delight around 12:30 PM. Feeling like a train wreck! I order jerk chicken and jallof rice, now the ginger punch was gifted from another (kind king) a patron who needed change for $100 that I assisted. And, when I tell you, I don’t know what kind of healing POWER was in that ginger punch, or that jerk seasoning! But, after I ate some of the jerk chicken and rice at the restaurant. I came home continuing sipping the ginger punch! Bathed and fell asleep for several hours. Baby!!! When, I awakened chest was clear, headache relieved, and I had less decongestion! I guess the old wives tale is true, feed a cold, starve a fever. But, I’m making a new one, get that ginger punch and jerk chicken from CARRIBEAN DELIGHT!

This my 4 time here. Keep coming back. Food is delicious and i love jerk chicken.And that’s the only reason why I come back with a jerk chicken and the jerk mac is amazing. Jamaican curry chicken (pic) was right up there with the best I’ve had. Rich flavorful stew like broth with mixed chicken pieces and a few potato chunks.
The mac & cheese was pretty good, but loved their jerk mac & cheese. Love their cabbage. It had a buttery taste with enough salt, and a good amount of crunch. Just the way I like it. Spinach was good, like the little pieces of veggies in there but still a little bland.
On my first visit the jerk chicken sandwich (pic) was spicy hot but not very flavorful. I mentioned this to the manager on my next visit and he said they were training a cook but I should try the jerk chicken today. He gave me a small portion over rice and he was absolutely right, perfect hot spicy jerk chicken (pic) not dried out like some places.
That all happened because the manager came to my table outside and asked how the food was. This is great initiative for managers to actually ask their customers that question.

1st time visiting and I was very pleased. Had a chance to meet the owner and he is great. The food I tried (one of their lunch specials) was very good and had good sized portions. I will definitely return.
