If this review were based solely on customer service, it would be a glowing, standing-ovation, curtain-call five stars.
I placed my order over the phone and the gentleman who took it was polite, patient, knowledgeable, and repeated everything back like a true professional. When I arrived, the order was accurate (we love accuracy ). He even tucked a physical menu into the side of the pizza box since they don’t have one online — which, honestly, felt nostalgic. Very “small town done right.”
The restaurant itself? Clean. Organized. You could feel it was family-run. The pride was undeniable. The kind of place where you know someone’s Nonna is somewhere in the back making sure the lights are on and the floors are spotless. On hospitality alone? They’re winning.
Now… let’s discuss the pizza.
This was what I lovingly call “roller rink pizza.”
You know the kind — the pizza you ate between skating laps under disco lights in 1992. Thin crust. Barely a cornicione (that beautiful outer edge that should rise like it has purpose in life). This one? Practically nonexistent. It whispered instead of sang.
The sauce… where was the garlic? The basil? The personality? I searched. I analyzed. I tilted my head like a food critic on a Netflix series. Was it there? Maybe it was shy. Very shy.
The pepperoni and sausage were sliced so thin they were nearly transparent. I could almost see my reflection in them. I appreciate delicacy, but I don’t need my toppings to double as tissue paper.
I wanted to love it. I truly did. The service was warm. The atmosphere was heartfelt. The effort was visible. But the pizza just didn’t deliver the flavor punch I was hoping for.
Would I give them another try? Possibly — because customer service like that deserves support. But if you’re going for bold, garlic-forward, basil-kissed, crust-with-character pizza… this one will leave you wanting more.

Angels East catered my 60th birthday party. I got more compliments on the food, especially their penne ala vodka, for days afterwards. They were able to deliver it to Gallagher’s in Cairo for no extra charge and appeared right on time. The chicken marsala was also delicious. Cannot recommend them enough!

Stumbled into Angel’s on a road trip and it was a very pleasant surprise. Great food (including dessert), service and even the music made for an enjoyable dinner at reasonable price. Diverse menu. We had mexican dishes and chocloate mousse. Appreciated the friendliness and kindness of all the staff when we walked in close to closing time. Will return when in the area. Was exactly what we were looking for.

This was a pleasant surprise. American, Italian and Mexican. I went enchiladas and rest of table ordered burrito, beef tacos and roast beef panini. Everything very good and nice portions. Good Mexican in the middle of Mini Ireland.

Ordered from Angel’s tonight as I normally do, a burrito with extra cheese, Guac, and sour cream. When it was delivered, the burrito had no cheese, guac, or sour cream which was disappointing but not a big deal. I also ordered penne Alfredo, which I found a short dark hair in and many of the noodles had sketchy looking dark spots on them. Absolutely ruined my appetite, I liked ordering from Angel’s as they conveniently deliver to my house but it was such a waste of money I would rather just drive out of my way elsewhere for food. This hasn’t been the first time something has been messed up while ordering from them, and it’s just a huge disappointment. If I could give zero stars I would.
