I hate to confirm what the reviews said and I did read them prior to, but still wanted to give them a try. 1. I left Memphis 6yrs ago for Nashville so I’ve experienced them there. 2. I just moved back and wanted to try it out despite reviews. 3. The presentation is there and “fry style” instructions were followed to the T. Thumbs up for that. But EVERYTHING down to the bone of the chicken wings, the tenders and fries TASTES LIKE OLDDDD GREASE!!! No lie, it TRULY does. I think that’s the ONLY issue, the grease. The honey hot flavor has a bitter taste, but hey, that could be how theirs is made. But something has to be done about the OLD GREASE cause it RUINED EVERYTHING! I know they can do better and I hope they do. 100%

I heard good things about this place so I decided to try the wings, the lady who took my order was pleasant. I was told the order would take 20 minutes, I sat inside and waited for my food, 45 minutes later I went to ask how much longer would it take for me to get my food. The lady at the counter was on her phone so I guess she didn’t realize how long my order was sitting in there already ready. Needless to say the fries and wings were room temperature. I had seasoned wings they were fried so hard that I could barely eat them, the season could have definitely been better, I also had regular hot which was just Frank’s Red Hot Sauce. I just expected more because of the good things that I was told about the food. I probably will not go back.

I’m a wing connoisseur and have been on a hunt for a great place in Memphis since BOSSES closed. Crumpy’s sucks compared to the Chicken Coop. I had the Chicken Coop Special that was 5 whole wings, fries and a drink for a reasonable $13. The food was incredibly fresh as were the fries (very fresh) and the fries seasoning was amazing. The wings were cooked to perfection. Highly recommend over any other wing places in Memphis.

What can I say… the Chicken Coop has the best wings and onion rings I have ever eaten. The wings are perfectly seasoned, and onion rings have this batter that gives the onion rings the perfect crunch. Not only that, the service is exceptional!! If y ou have not had the opportunity to go, I say run don’t walk , I highly highly highly recommend this restaurant. Soooo good.

2 chicken salads, a kids’ meal, and a Philly cheese steak meal all tasted like it was cooked in BURNED GREASE fries were greasy and tasted like BURNED chicken grease NEVER AGAIN!!! This was supposed to be our dinner, and it was awful. We couldn’t even eat it. Money wasted! Oh, and I tried calling several times, but there was no answer.

Dear Manager, this was my FIRST AND LAST visit! I’ll let the pictures (I posted to your fb page ) speak for itself. BURNT, OLD GREASE, FRIED TO THE BONE AND TASTED HORRIBLE
Edit: Ticket # 288 I called just now to.speak with a manager and spoke with a young lady named “Kiona”. Told her my issues and that she should probably change the grease and not fry the wings so hard unless requested. She proceeds to tell me they’ve been in business for 8 years and tonight alone fried over 1’000 wings. To which my reply was “I’ve never heard of them until today via Google and that’s a problem”.
She offered me two choices…
1) bring the food back and get a refund. My husband had already gone back to work with his food.
2) put my name in a book and next time it’s on the house. I DECLINED!
See it’s not about the money, it’s about getting one chance to get it right and keep me coming back. THEY BLEW IT! Now every time I’m asked about where to get good wings in Memphis The Chicken Coop won’t be on the list. As a matter of fact I’m going to start the reply with I KNOW WHERE NOT TO GO IF YOU WANT GOOD WINGS! Guess whose Top of that list…

I got this chicken Philly sandwich. It’s the best sandwich I have had in years.
It’s 3 of us that ordered it and we all all making noises while eating this sandwich. We used forks to get every last bit! The best ever. Thank you to the cook. You did that and we will be back.
