I mean seriously, some of the people in these reviews go out of their way to hurt local businesses over such petty stuff. I wonder if you treat your own family that way when a meal is cooked for you at home. If you’re looking for the best bagels in Clifton, this is the spot, especially in the mornings when the bagels are super fresh. My whole family loves the strawberry cream cheese, it’s sweet but so good.

Just got back from Hot Bagels Abroad today. Went there again for their amazing egg, cheese, and bacon breakfast sandwich on a roll. Absolutely spot on as usual. Their bagels are consistently fresh too. The place is a bit of a trek from my house, but honestly worth every minute of the drive. The quality never drops and that’s why I keep coming back. If you have not tried their bagels you’re seriously missing out. Highly recommended A+++

Hot Bagels Abroad on Clifton Avenue is a small franchise, with a sister store in nearby Bloomfield. It’s specialty is, of course, bagels. And their bagels are, to be sure, quite good. But it’s more than just bagels. They have a wide variety of breakfast and lunch sandwiches, all of which are top notch, and their egg platters and deli selection is superlative. I always enjoy coming here and enjoying my meals. The coffee is always good too. One caveat, a minor one, they tend to close the grill a little early, so if you want something off the grill, try to get in at least 90 minutes before closing; it’s hit or miss after that.

Big fluffy bagels. I usually get a sausage egg and cheese on a bagel and it hits every time! The two girls are super cool, super nice but everyone else ignores you which is the only reason for a minus star. Wait time can also be a little much if they are busy

Now believe lowest stars. First time there around 11am. My simple order of a blueberry bagel with butter & jelly but got cinnamon raisin bagel,they’re lucky I’m not allergic. On top of it all, it was so dry. Not recommend.

So I decided to try this place since it’s a bit closer to me but I do have a go to bagel place that never disappoints. Ordered French Toast bagel with cream cheese. It looked so crunchy and delicious. but honestly couldn’t do more than 2 small bites. The consistency of the bagel was horrible and the cream cheese taste was off. Well I don’t think I’ll be back .

I ordered the Show Boat Sandwich which consisted of, grilled chicken, fresh mozzarella, roasted peppers, and balsamic vinaigrette, it was very flavorful and fresh, the bread was nice and soft.And the spicy curly fries were delicious too. Potato salad wasn’t bad . I will definitely recommend this place for lunch and breakfast. Prices are very reasonable.

I normally prefer hole in the whole coffee/breakfast places but this chain is a great place. The lox tasted fresh, the coffee was great and the people are very friendly. The only complaint but something that can be understood, is that the eating area could use a little cleaning between guests but the place is so busy it can be understood why. Is a great place for locals when asking around and would go again when in the area.
