My friends and I visited Blue Ridge for a four day weekend. Saturday morning we were looking for a nice place to eat breakfast and learned of the Yelephant cafe. What a wonderful experience!!! I ordered the shrimp and grits. They were absolutely delicious —would definitely love to come back. Wonderful staff and cook. Thanks for making our trip enjoyable

We had such a wonderful experience at Yellowphant Cafe! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt warm and welcoming.

Our waitress, Tammi, was absolutely fantastic. She was friendly, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. Her suggestions were spot-on — every item she recommended turned out to be delicious. It’s always a great sign when someone genuinely loves what they’re serving, and Tammi made the whole experience even more enjoyable.

The owner was also super nice and took the time to make us feel appreciated, which added such a personal touch to the visit.

And the food? Phenomenal. Every dish was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. You can really taste the quality in every bite.

We’ll definitely be coming back and highly recommend Yellowphant Cafe to anyone looking for amazing food and outstanding service!

Giving their rating my friends and I decided to visit but we were very disappointed. We waited a lot to get our food and when the food arrived everything was bad. Waffles overcooked, brisket overcooked (they charge extra and i didn’t even eat) it was very hard. The only good thing was the coffee and service the waiter was really nice. But for the price we expected way more. The food was not good at all.

Wake up and get yourself over here, ask for Teri and enjoy an EXCELLENT latte & breakfast! I enjoyed the Brown Sugar House Latte and I highly recommend the brisket biscuit! Spectacular! They also offer turkey sausage which is appreciated and hard to find. We got that on the house burrito.

There are so many amazing options on the menu at Yellowphant that it was very hard to choose. I had what might be the best shrimp & grits I’ve ever eaten. The flavor knocked my socks off. I’d go back for it. Lots of creative coffee and tea options using French press, which is a nice touch. You can order full menu as well. Very impressed with this place!

The best customer service that I have witnessed in years. Taylor was the host that greeted us. It was crowded and we were going to have to wait for a table. Taylor carried 2 small tables from opposite sides of the room to make a table for us. Shortly after we were seated, four more came in. Taylor carried tables and chairs from the back room to seat them. The whole time we were there, he was pleasantly working hard to take care of everyone. AND the food and price were great! We got a yogurt cup as a side, that was wonderful… lots of granola, honey, and fresh blueberries. The French toast, biscuits… everything was great.

Super cute restaurant! I always enjoy stopping in for lunch, but yesterday was especially delicious. The chef cooking yesterday did an awesome job, she had everything perfectly cooked and full of flavor, and got it out in a really good amount of time. Service was also great! Taylor was very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed and was very friendly. My husband and I will definitely be back soon!

Wishing I could give 4.5 stars, waffled between 4 and 5. Our waitress, Nandy, and the other young waitress there that morning were amazing – over the top friendly, helpful, fast. They made it such a sweet experience:) we even asked to switch tables to a more quiet out of the way table in the back and the immediately moved us without any trouble.

Really cute inside – sofa sitting area in the back and soft chairs up front by the window if you wanted to chill with your coffee, plenty of table seating throughout. The place isn’t huge, so I would call ahead to have them save you a seat if you’re on a time crunch.

The food was delicious – Nandy recommended the breakfast burrito and it was fantastic! My husband tried their specialty coffee and the breakfast with benefits, and loved it! I had the oatmilk latte – and while I appreciated that they had oatmilk, I probably wouldn’t order it there again.

Up front they had the sweetest area with locally made candles. The other girl waiting tables offered some suggestions and was really helpful. Loved the selection and ended up buying one for myself and one as a gift – loving them and the smell isn’t overpowering – but really fills the room.

It is in a strip mall, parking is free – we were able to find a space right away, I think even if it was really busy there’s ample parking.

We would definitely return – the food, the candles, the sweet waitress made this a really great experience. I thought it was a little pricey, but the quality was fresh and servings were perfect portions.

Super nice staff! Came here for breakfast and got the Sausage Melt while my wife got the Loaded Grits. Both were really good, nothing super fancy, but very solid for the price. They have a great breakfast menu with some unique items like the Brisket Biscuit, which sounded great, but they didn’t have any brisket on hand today. I’d definitely come back for lunch as it looked like they had some great sandwiches on the lunch menu. Staff were great and very friendly. Order at the counter and then take a number type of setup, which I always like as you never have to wait for a server to put your order in. Espresso and latte were both very good as well! Cool spot for a quick bite and I need to come back for a sandwich off the lunch menu.

Our server Lauren set us up for success with amazing recommendations all around. The brisket breakfast burrito, monte Cristo sandwich and potato soup were all spectacular. The place filled up quickly after we arrived and its now easy to see why! Highly recommend!
