Stopped on our drive cross country, we stayed in Lawrence but wish we had stayed in Wilson! Such a cute little spot. The food was cheap and delicious and gives an old school country vibe. We had omelettes and biscuits and hash browns, delicious! My first time in Kansas and if im ever here again on I70 im stopping here. Our waitress was so sweet to us and even made sure we could buy a mug! 10/10

This “off the beaten path” restaurant is sooo worth the stop. The food is delicious and the waitress is so nice. Please don’t drive by but stop in for REAL authentic made from scratch dining.

We drive from Kentucky to Colorado a couple of times a year. When we can time it right, we stop here to eat. This time, we stayed at the Wilson RV park and went to the restaurant for breakfast. I had the pancakes with berries, which were fluffy with lots of fruit. The waitress and other customers were very friendly and helpful. We didn’t get pie this trip, but they were fresh out of the oven. We did buy homemade sandplum and cherry jellies that I can’t wait to try. We always enjoy eating here.

Quick 5 minute detour off the interstate. Quaint and unassuming. We had the buffet pan fried chicken, mashed potatoes and veggies! It was so good. Had to get a bierock and some pie, we left happy and full!

Road trip food stop on a Sunday morning after a snow storm. About two miles off the interstate, but absolutely worth the side-trip!
Got the Brissket & Swiss cheese Omelette and was not disappointed! Service was great and the atmosphere was quaint. The pies look delicious!

We stopped for the the breakfast on our way back from FL to CO.
The restaurant gives you the best tiny town vibe you can imagine. Older, lovely couples, great food and really kind and welcoming servers.
Very affordable good place to stop!
Tiny towns like this remind me that America is the best country in the world.

Absolutely love ❤️ this place. Had the smoked brisket and swiss omelet and some coffee. It was unbelievably good. The fried potatoes were crispy on the outside and hot and steamy on the inside. The local flavor extends to the friendly customers as well. There were people having fun at every table! One of the best kept secrets of I70 eating!

This small slightly out-of-the-way restaurant in Wilson Kansas has some of the best food I’ve ever tasted. I ordered a Reuben sandwich not knowing that everything I ate had been made there. The bread was by far the best bread I’ve ever tasted a wonderful rye bread as it should be, the kraut had been made in the house. In short, it was amazing. I believe the lady baking the bread and the pies, which were also exquisite her name was Janie or Jane. I met her and told her how wonderful the food was. Can’t recommend this place enough. Also, you need to try the pies, does it matter which one just get a slice of pie. If you ever see me, you can thank me.

Saw a billboard and googled it.. % worth the detour. Super friendly service, great pricing… and the FOOD is GREAT. We had the buffet (see photos) all was all yummy! Took a few slices of pie to go.. let me tell you, don’t skip the pie or cheesecake! If you’re traveling through Kansas, highly recommend this little spot…. then go take a photo with the “World’s Largest Czech Egg”✌
