Very disappointed. I placed an online order within business hours and when I showed up to receive it the doors were locked. However my order was sitting on the to go stand made. What a tease?? I banged on the door no one would answer it so I could get my order that was made and paid for. I tried calling in and they weren’t accepting calls, how convenient! I’d like a refund for my order I never received!!! I have attached a photo of my order sitting on the Togo stand through the locked door.

It’s absolutely no surprise this location is “temporarily” closed. I expect it to remain that way forever. Was originally owned by a woman who was VERY engaged as I had some really good conversations with her on some previous visits. The last time I ordered a sub here, I did it online. When I arrived 15 minutes later when it was showing as ready, they said they were out of meatballs. I simply asked the young crew member why my order wasn’t cancelled and I wasn’t contacted, his response was “that’s not our problem”. As my head literally spin around 3 times, I was appalled!!! As it turned out, they DID have meatballs but they had shut down their cooking machines at 8:15PM and they didn’t want to turn them back on because they were already cleaned, 45 MINUTES BEFORE CLOSING!!!! I said that is a YOU problem, not a ME problem. There was an Indian man mopping the floor near the soda machine and he quickly intervened with some disrespectful words towards me for questioning his employee. This just escalated unnecessarily and I was shocked as I was in no way rude or disrespectful. I asked if he is the franchisee and he said “yes”. I told him this behavior and his reaction was completely unacceptable. He didn’t care. I asked for a refund which he gave to me and I left the store. I will NEVER return nor support a business that is run like this one, even if they support our cherished first responders. I’ll donate to them directly. Did I mention this place is and has been closed for months. This is POOR MANAGEMENT/OWNERSHIP at its finest. PERIOD!!!!!!! Unless they reopen under new management, I would suggest a “pass”. Like others have said, Jersey Mikes which is 2 minutes away (behind Giant) and they are outstanding with quality and service.I enjoy Firehouse Subs, but not with the disrespect the East York location brings to the table. Never again!!

We have been to the East York location numerous times and the food was good. The last few times we have gone, they have been closed. But since we hadn’t tried recently, I tried to place an order on-line. I was able to do so until we tried to process our payment. Said they were having problems they were aware of and were working on it. After 3 tries we tried to call in our order. We tried 4 times to call and evidently they are having phone problems also……. My husband printed our order and is on his way there. Taking bets on if they are even open, even though website says they are. DISAPPOINTING when this place was great when they first opened.

In the picture, you can see I got the engineer. It has been my favorite since frist came here. I get the large so I have food for now and later.

I normally love Firehouse but today was very disappointing. I did a delivery order and was missing 2 bags if chips plus most of both of the subs are missing meat and is just bread. I contacted support but they said because I had a delivery order canceled (not by me) in the past 60 days, there’s nothing they can do. Your sub used to be loaded with meat so it was my favorite place, not anymore. Poor quality and poor customer service.

We are disappointed in our recent visit to this location. While the quality of the food and cleanliness of the place was as good as other locations we visit the quantity of meatballs on this small was a poor decision on the sub makers part. If our memory serves us correctly, in all of our visits to this and other locations the minimum number of meatballs on a small sub has been three. Two meatballs on the sub for the price paid does not make it worth the visit.
As I have noticed in other reviews and will concur, the employees need to be trained or maybe retrained in customer service. We were not welcomed when we arrived or when we stepped up to the counter to order. This visit was a weekend visit in the early evening hours and the place was not busy. After ordering we sat down and waited while a single employee came out from the back and, I presume, started making the two subs we had ordered. It was not an extraordinarily long wait in comparison to what we have experienced in the past but in most of those cases the place was generally busier.
We will more than likely visit this location again in the future due to the convenient location for us but any additional disappointments there may require us to rethink this decision.

The food itself is good when you receive what you ordered. The past 3-4 times I’ve gone here they’ve either completely missed sides, substitutions, or additions to my food. For the price of the subs I’d expect to receive what I ordered.

I love firehouse subs but 9/29/25, some of the worst customer service I had in ridiculously long. Im a humble person and would consider myself nice but was greeted in a very rude way by the so called “owner” and an associate, my cousin and I clearly told him no vegetables and when he gave us the order it had vegetables and proceeded to give us more attitude saying things like “we not replacing anything for you” “it was your mistake not mine” whilst I’m sitting there very calmly and in orderly fashion explaining to him where there was a issue. Overall would suggest to avoid this place.

First and LAST time ever ordering from here. Food was absolutely DISGUSTING. My sub was cold, soggy, missing toppings and the brisket meat was nothing but blobs of FAT and GRISTLE. Completely inedible. Opened the box….tossed it right in the garbage. Thats probably where is came from to begin with. Never again.

First experience at Firehouse Subs. This establishment is clean, fun, and well kept.
Took my family of 3 here for dinner on a Tuesday night. There were 3 couples and 1 other family in Firehouse Subs.
Took a look at their menu and decided on a fee subs. The subs are named for different firehouse things like hook and ladder.
The subs were worth the money. They are full of freshly sliced meat. And the toppings were fresh as well. It took 15 minutes to get our food. They have the new upgraded soda kiosk. And a hot sauce bar. Everything from mild to deadly. So if you want to try some hot sauces ..this is your place.
Their were 2 individuals working and both were pleasant and friendly. Totally explained the menu to me. Presented all of my topping options. Once created they delivered our subs to the table. And checked on us again to be sure everything was okay. And it was.
Dinner for three, 3 large subs, chips and drinks and tax ran $42. Now if you think this is pricey…Please remember these subs were packed with meat! It is not like that “other” chain that puts a thin row of meat on a sub and charges $9. Here you get your money’s worth! Highly recommend. Thank you, from LA Randar!
