Man, the food here is very good. Honey and I went on a Sunday while visiting our daughter’s college campus. We happened to stumble across this popular local soul food spot.
Let’s get into the P & C’s:
Pros:
– Food is absolutely delicious.
– Great customer service.
– Variety of food selections.
– Generous portions.
– Home-cooked Sunday dinner style.
-The dressing is outstanding.
– Everything is well-seasoned.
Cons:
– It can be a long wait due to the restaurant being small. Therefore you will be standing outside in a line.
– The food is pricey but worth it!
– The dressing was cold on the day we went.
– The dressing is only served on certain days.

So the experience here was pretty good. I had the bbq ribs and I must say I was impressed. When we first pulled up parking was interesting as we were unsure of parking in the lot next door stated for that businesses customers only. The grill is going out front with the lovely aroma coming from it. The Dunbar brothers have a real winner here with the cabbage and collard greens. Some of the best I’ve ever eaten. They were also friendly enough to take a photo with us after getting our food. This isn’t a dine in restaurant. Order and go. Hot food assembly line deal here. The cornbread looks like a pancake but is really sweet and good. Enjoy

This is a place to stop. Truckers, good food. When I went in yesterday, they had baked chicken, pork chops, ribs, mac & cheese, rice, and green beans. I got the bake chicken with mac & cheese and green beans. I love the chicken. Mac & cheese taste better when it’s hot and also I tasted they use mushroom soup in it. Lot of food for me. I saved it and put it in the fridge. You got to call to find out what they are serving for today. When I’m back in town, I will be back.

The food is legit, but be prepared to possibly have to wait in line to go inside and place your order. The meals are about 15 to 17 dollars a plate, and dessert is 5 dollars, but you get enough food to feed at least 2 to 3 people, so it’s worth the money

Very welcoming, and made sure that our ribs were fresh cut and great amount. Well portioned sides. The banana pudding was also off the chain. Reminded me of a family gathering meal I was so full and had leftovers. Will definitely return again.
