This place is a hidden gem. I lived in Anchorage for 2-years and none compare. I will always go when I am in ANC. The people who work there are friendly and helpful, make you feel like a welcomed guest. The pastries and sweets are perfection; so good and look like works of art. They educated us about both kinds of ham that were in our pastries and then gave us a nice sample of the best waffle I’ve ever had. Go grab a snack and an Americano. If you do you’ll be back. Thanks Benji’s!

Went in to Benji’s for a little pick me up, as my grandma just passed today.. the young lady working the counter threw in a few extra pastries “just because” and little does she know her small good deed was awfully big to me today. Thank you for your kindness.

I know everyone goes for the baked goods but the CHOWDER! My husband and I are from New England and wow, this was the best chowder you can find in Alaska. I’m very picky about my pastries and these absolutely knocked it out of the park, SO DELICIOUS! Sad that I live almost 2 hours away but I will be back 🙂

I tried the Dubai chocolate croissant and it was absolutely delicious. It’s definitely pricey, but you’re paying for the whole “Dubai chocolate” trend experience. For me, it was a once-in-a-lifetime splurge, amazing flavor, but probably not something I’d spend that much on again for a pastry.

I also ordered the taro boba, which was really good and balanced out the treat perfectly. The interior was super fun with an urban, graffiti-style design that felt street-inspired and lively, almost like a subway art vibe. It gave the place a cool, relaxed atmosphere. Service was good as well. Overall, a fun experience and worth trying at least once.

We had our first experience at Benji’s today and it was amazing. We came in right before close and they gave us a ton of free goodies in addition to our purchase♥️ the staff is so kind and explained everything to us and the treats we got were so delicious. Definitely stop by to give them a try if you’re in Anchorage!

Everything about this bakery is exactly where you want to go first thing in the morning. The staff were helpful, inviting, and offered us (as newbies) a free waffle croissant treat, lightly coated in the perfect amount of honey syrup. Every bite was better than the last. Each pastry will send you on a journey. 10/10, must go.

I really enjoyed this little spot! We ordered a bunch of pastries all of which were super good. I enjoyed the Nutella cruffin the most, definitely going to go back for that! The signature drinks are refreshing and tasty! Customer service was great even with them being busy

Overall not worth the money or time going here.

Staff seemed to be very unhelpful and confused. I asked what the difference between two different types of teas and they said “they are different flavors”….. then my husband wanted to order chowder and the girl said she could take his order… after he told her she goes “oh you have to tell the other girl”….?

The pastry we got was good. The chowder was okay. We are from east coast my husband from New England area so we had high hopes. Kinda disspaointed.

Boba was so sweet it was disgusting. Wanted to ask for more milk but didn’t want to even bother because the line was so long and didn’t want to have to wait on line again. It tasted like they dumped straight sugar into it.

Don’t waste your time this is a tourist trap. If you want good boba go to happy house. There’s no seating and food but way better boba.

Tried 6 pastries:
1. Chocolate Croissant: Very good; think flaky Danish puff pastry. (Photo provided)
2. Bear Claw: Excellent pastry, lean on filling.
3. Strawberry + Lychee Croissant: Excellent; think flaky Danish puff pastry.
4. Ube Croissant: Mixed reviews in my household; I thought it was good and would have it again. (Photo provided)
5. Pull Cinnamon Bread: Good; when there was glaze I the bite full … very good, but it needed more when there was no glaze; bread texture very good. (Photo provided)
6. Vietnamese Coffee Croissant: Excellent pastry, light and flaky; flavourful filling and just the right amount. (Photo provided)

This place “USED” to be good. It became Trash. Different staff. And now using different cheaper ingredients.

I paid $20, made me wish I would have just got combo fried rice from ReHaru❤️

I asked for half sugar- no ice- pomegranate tea. It came super sugary with ice.

The bahn mi got so much smaller. The pomegranate tea was SUPER SUGAR SWEET it was disgusting. They remade with no sugar and tasted like kool aid. I asked- they said it’s a different tea than it used to be… so disappointing they used cheaper ingredients without lowering the price. Greedy thieves.
