Very solid mom and pop bakery. The food is great, reasonably priced, and the staff are very nice. While some of the baked goods can be a little dry, that’s easily remedied by pairing everything with a coffee. Breakfast and lunch are both great options. Seating is limited so you may not be able to sit inside/outside in all circumstances. Parking can also be a little annoying since the business is on a main road and the number of spaces is somewhat limited.

Once in a blue moon I have such a bad experience at a place, this is why I post a review. I made a special one hour trip to pick up some bakery items since reviews said they’re good. Walking in this place is totally depressing and no items really stood out as anything that looked really delicious. All brown. However it was the totally rude vibe of the guy behind the counter, perhaps the owner, who couldn’t be bothered to even acknowledge a customer walking in. Creepy. Because of that did I buy anything? No. Will I return? Never.

5 stars when I was a kid, still 5 starts as an adult taking my own child. Always friendly faces at the counter to greet you and delicious baked goods to keep you coming back. Never change!

Small local bakery with incredibly friendly staff. I tried their lemon bread, apple muffins and Russian pumpernickel bread which was freshly sliced in front of me. Watching the bread get sliced is truly a throw back to the past and fascinating to watch! The muffins and lemon bread were good – not too sweet and not crusted with sugar on top which I dislike. The bread was fantastic as well!
Parking is a bit of a mess as there aren’t many spots and the location sits on a busy road so do be careful pulling out!

It’s a small, charming shop with a very welcoming feel. It’s the perfect stop on a Saturday morning before heading over to one of the local orchards.

All I’ve gotten is breakfast sandwiches from here but I get them every weekend and they are the best breakfast sandwiches in town

Harpo’s Bakery, is an unassuming little bakery in South Glastonbury. The woman behind the counter, assuming the owner (she’s always there), is so very sweet. This morning I ordered a sausage/egg/cheese on a croissant and a Boston Cream donut for my wife. Not only was I a hero when I came home because the donut was so good, the breakfast sandwich was one of the best that I have ever had! Kudos to you Harpo’s for making our little town proud and for such a delicious breakfast!!

Who doesn’t love Italian cookies. To top it off they have a variety of pastries, breakfast sandwiches, panini‘s and bread. Totally worth it!

Just a little shop but has many choices for dessert and also breaded meals to go. Got the steak bread. Good size for a good price. My fav was the cherry donut.

Our family stopped at this bakery as part of our summer food tour day. This classic bakery reminded me of the small neighborhood bakeries I went to with my mom as a child. Service was very friendly and all the items we got were absolutely delicious. The cinnamon roll was particularly tasty! We will absolutely be back!!
