What a great meal.
Excellent vegetarian options – we got the malai kofta, aloo mattar, and the mulligatawany soup, hit the spot. Cheese and potato kofta in gravy were lush. My kid loved the garlic naan.
Smooth service, had a nice chat at pickup. Definitely jumped to the top of the takeout rotation.

We have been going here for several years now. We love the food and enjoy talking with the owner, Armajit. If you’re not sure what to get just ask Armajit, he’s always happy to make suggestions and you can add a level of spice from 1 to 5 (I always go for a 3). Our favorite Naan bread is the Kashmiri Naan, it’s the best! If you like curry and enjoy Indian food, we highly recommend this restaurant you won’t be disappointed!

Staff were short/ unwelcoming on our visit. Chicken tikka lacked creaminess and punch but naan was good and crispy. The place and tableware could use a good deep clean. It could help with their “OK” Tacoma-Pierce health inspection rating. Not a fan.

Best hole in the wall Indian Restaurant! Nothing fancy here but I don’t mind because the food and the service is outstanding! The owner is so very nice and the food is made fresh and it tastes fresh. It’s not fast food. It’s nice and quiet and clean. I don’t get the complaints. I watched them thoroughly clean tables. I love this restaurant and will return again!!

An enjoyable lunch sharing some palak paneer, vegetable korma, rice, and naan. We have eaten here several times, and their food is always authentic and very good. We had a nice conversation with Amajet, the owner who opened the restaurant more than 25 years ago.

This place is incredible! We came in for dinner and were blown away. The meat samosas were the perfect start—crispy, flavorful, and gone in seconds.
Now, let’s talk about the naan. We got spinach, aloo, and Kashmiri, and OH MY GOD, the Kashmiri naan is literally crack. It’s sweet, a little chewy, and honestly addictive. If you haven’t tried it, you’re missing out—it’s our new favorite. We always take some home (if we don’t devour it all at the table).
For mains, I got the chicken korma, which was creamy, comforting, and so flavorful. My boyfriend got the gosht vindaloo with lamb, and it was perfectly spicy and bold. He loved every bite.
What really stood out was the owner—he’s so welcoming and passionate. We wanted to try something new, and he gave us spot-on recommendations that made the meal extra special.
This place is a must-visit. Amazing food, warm vibes, and that Kashmiri naan… chef’s kiss! We’re already planning our next visit.

I recently visited India Mahal, and I must say it was one of the most disappointing dining experiences I’ve ever had. The behavior of the owner was absolutely unacceptable.
From the moment we walked in, the owner was rude and dismissive. We were greeted with a cold, uninterested attitude, and it only got worse from there. When we asked for recommendations, the owner seemed annoyed and rushed us to make a decision. It felt like we were an inconvenience rather than valued customers.
To make matters worse, three of us ordered a veg combo. The owner mentioned that this is only for two people and wanted us to order more so that he can cover his expenses. He was rude enough to even ask us to eat a hot dog or watermelon outside if we cannot afford it.
The owner’s unprofessional and hostile attitude completely ruined the experience for us. I cannot recommend this place to anyone.

One of the worst restaurants I have ever been to anywhere in the world. There was a glass piece in the chicken curry and the manager working here was not even apologetic and became defensive. He started fighting with us and he was treating us as beggars. We have taken multiple videos but not posting here because of privacy issue. We have reported this issue to 911 and to food safety inspection to the city. Please consider before coming to this restaurant.
