This pretty little bakery and store had me at “cookies!” I loved the atmosphere and all the displays that make this more than just a roadside stop. Everyone was so nice and helpful. My favorite pastry was the peach turnover. But definitely a very close second would be the cherry turnover. They have coffee, gifts a cold case and a selection of frozen pies to purchase and bake at home. Its really a sweet place. I would 100% recommend stopping if you’re anywhere within say 100 miles of the place!

Storefront previously known as “Stephens Farmhouse” just off Highway 99 with local history and Farm-stand vibes. Their pies are what they’re famous for, definitely recommend! Ollalieberry is my go-to, but apple is also good Ask for a fresh pie, but they are also available refrigerated or frozen. I tried the dehydrated Cajun Okra chips and those were pretty good, but not too spicy. They have a variety of house-made jams and jellies, veggie chips, etc. in store and products from other producers such as sourdough bread, popcorn, honey and barbecue sauce, along with some household items like soaps and gifts. There are some tables inside to sit down and eat. They have a stand at the Yuba City certified Farmer’s Market during the summer as well (usually May – October) at the Fountain off Plumas Street ☀️

I have not been into the bakery in years! What an refreshing change. I spent so much time looking at all the thoughtful gifts I could purchase from jam to body soaps. They even have the most beautiful hand made cards. That is just the gifts section, the actual treats were amazing and so hard to choose as they all looked just perfect. I purchased the crinkle cookies that took me back to my childhood. I was traveling through, but if I lived there, I would be going in every week to buy the take away pies and even get dinner for the family with the beef or chicken pot pies. When we delivered the cookies we purchased to our family we were visiting they told me I should have gotten the cinnamon rolls. I said WHAT cinnamon rolls, my favorite! That will be one of my top list of purchases next time I am in town. If I could give this rating more stars, I would. You must go and enjoy for yourselves. ⭐ ✨

I used to love pumpkin pie so much but this place changed that. I no longer love the Pumpkin pie that I used to. I can only have this farmhouses pumpkin pie I tried a few other ones after eating what they have here and none compare to this place. Wasn’t even expensive either. 25 for a good size homemade pie is a really good deal. The people who work here are all very helpful and nice to.

So I have driven by this place almost weekly for 15 years and finally decided to stop since they have spruced up the outside. Boy I wish I had not waited so long. These baked goods are not only made daily right there in house, but the receipts are very very good and they rival the quality, taste, and texture of my late mother Vernette, who had honed her craft of baking and a wedding cake decorator for nearly 60 years! Their items are not overly sweet. I had a lemon bar, which was awesome; a sugar cookie, which was Devine; and also their carrot cake loaf, which was again awesome! Now they are a “bit” spendy, but they did honor my veteran status! I met all the ladies in the back who was responsible for that days baked goods. Zoe (pronounced Zoey) was very kind, patient and answered all my questions about their establishment. I also took a bunch of photos. I hope you stop by and visit these fine folks who still make baked goods the “old fashioned” way! My first photo is the girls, from left to right: Zoe, Sierra, Bailey, Ashley and Heather.

Cream pies, pecan pies, apple pies, berry pies, mega cookies, and more—everything here is baked fresh. Let me tell you, these farmers really know how to make a delicious pie. The pecan pie I tried had a thin yet sturdy crust, filled with a perfectly sweet filling and topped with pecans and a rich syrup. It was so good, I devoured the whole thing!
This place is perfect for satisfying cravings or picking up pies for events. Just be sure to order ahead of time. Parking is spacious, but since it’s located right off the highway, make sure to use your turn signal early.

Adorable Bakery and store/gift shop. Jams, honey, frozen bakery items to take and bake at home, cute gift items. Tasty homemade bakery treats! The carrot cake loaf topped with cream cheese frosting is absolutely delish. Stayed on property in our RV through Harvest Host Membership. Cannot wait to return, there are so many bakery items still to try!
Store was neat and clean. Has outdoor grassy picnic area with tables under shade trees. This place is surrounded by almond and walnut orchards.
Staff were all kind and friendly…Five Stars!

I am beyond disappointed with my experience. I called on Tuesday and paid for a 2 layer, 10in cake with the requests of fresh strawberries on the top with “Happy birthday name+name” and fresh strawberries in the middle layer of the cake as well. Confirmed the spelling of the names and paid at the time of the order, pickup was set for the upcoming Saturday @4pm. Upon thinking I called that Thursday to request additional berries on the top of the cake for decor i.e blackberries, raspberries- open for whatever they had and the person who answered stated that should not be an issue. I receive a call on Friday at 6pm stating I was not charged correctly and now needed to pay an undisclosed amount to add the fresh berries in the middle layer, the writing ON the cake and the berries on top of the cake as well. I asked for clarification as I initially paid $75 and was now unsure as to what I actually was receiving with that payment. The person on the other end stated I paid only for the cake and the frosting, no additions. During the conversation I was then told that they do not charge for fresh berries which is why she could not tell me an amount but said she thought it would be maybe $15. At this point I was beyond confused and disappointed that I requested the order be cancelled as it was unprofessional this unknown amount was needed on top of my initial payment. I was told the manager, Zoey would call me back as the rep on the phone could not do the refund herself. Zoey calls me Saturday morning (day of initial pickup) and asks why I am wanting to cancel. I explain the conversation from the night before and she asks if I would want an explanation of the charges and I express that I do not, I will not be supporting this small business and want a refund. She then states that the base charge for the cake I ordered is $75 and the fresh berries are an additional $10 and they in fact, do not charge for writing. I told her I would not be paying anything more as I placed and paid already but again did not want to proceed. My payment was refunded- great, she apologizes but again the cake was supposed to be given to me TODAY so I said the apology wasn’t significant to me and that I would be writing a review of my experience- Zoey then hangs up on me. My family used to love coming here when it was Stephen’s farmhouse and we have not been here in a while, this experience solidifies how much they care about their customers and I will not be supporting this small business.
