What a treat! We learned that Blue Duck was previously a lunch stop, but is now a very classy dinner restaurant – 5 course tasting menu on Fridays and Saturdays with a fixed price.
Each entree was beautiful, unique, very tasty.
Ours briefly was
1) sweet corn, ricotta & pesto soup
2) seared Ahi with fried potato and lemon aioli
3) waygu with radish cream, microgreens
4) red gem salad with roasted beets and goat cheese, blueberry vinaigrette
5) Pavlova with berries and oat clusters
Wow. The service was attentive and kind. The space was so thoughtfully decorated – everything from the lighting (gentle), to beautiful chairs/tables/dinnerware/flatware- all adds to the beauty, presentation, and ambiance.
We traveled here for the skiing, but found this gem.

The food service and atmosphere was all spectacular. This was our first stop on our stay it Mt Holly which is not too far. During our service the waitress/hostess saw that our child was upset and brought over two little blue ducks for him to play with. The food alone would’ve made this a 5* review but the atmosphere and design of the inside space elevates this above a 5. Would definitely come back in the future

We were in the area looking for a brunch spot and found this place. The exterior was very cute and quaint; loved the garden out front with huge sunflowers and various flowers. There was a parking lot but we had already parked on-street prior. The interior was cute; there was a cafe and a few tables. On the other side was the kitchen area; they brought out the food to us on the cafe side. The place got busy after we got there; seems to be a hot spot for lunch.
We got there around 10:50, they weren’t serving food until 11. This was fine since they served coffee and that was priority to us at that time. I had a medium iced maple latte and it was good. For my meal, I had the chicken and waffles sandwich which were decent; there was crispy fried chicken, cole slaw, in between freshly made fluffy waffles. It was overall decent, but something was missing; I think that was some maple syrup or some hot sauce. My child had the fried Mac and cheese donut; it’s a Mac and cheese shaped into a donut; this was good and a cute way to present food. Overall, a good spot to get some breakfast and lunch.

I was blessed so have two turns at the Blue Duck…I was there for their Opening Night – 5 course Chef’s tasting and I hosted my husband’s birthday dinner there last night for our closest friends and children. They didn’t disappoint for either event. The food, the presentation, care in which it is all put together is more than amazing. Bex and Craig put so much thought into everything they do…I ask that we sing to three people, we didn’t just sing, they made three separate cakes, so that each person felt as special as my husband, as special as the care given to each course. The waitstaff, is the same…The fact that they can pull off salads and sandwiches during the day and switch to tablecloths and cocktails (with a full bar) at night is amazing. If you don’t get a table there, and we let this gem slip out of Ludlow’s finger’s we will miss out on one of the most talented chef’s this area has ever seen. I can’t wait until the Patio is open and I hope they forever keep a table open for us!

I highly recommend this restaurant, the food & service were outstanding! The quality of the food was excellent and all made from scratch. The Mac & cheese Cronut is a must try! Beautiful Christmas decorations and cozy atmosphere. We will definitely come back to this place!

We went to Blue Duck for the soft opening. The interior is gorgeous and very bright. They have excellent coffee and even cold brew! We enjoyed the bean burger but wish it came with some side or maybe the ability to add fries for an extra few dollars since a side of fries is $6. $20 feels pricey for a bean burger and fries. Would also love then to add onion rings as a side and a chicken salad sandwich. Overall, a welcome addition for lunch in Ludlow!

Quaint fresh atmosphere inside. Everyone there was exceptionally kind and cheerful. Prime location, seat yourself, small “deli”. Parking on the side. Bacon burger and fries were absolutely perfect and savory, wife’s chicken beet salad was fresh and complex. What seemed to be the owner checked on us even for it being a order and seat yourself. Lives up to the 5 stars.

My fiancé and I visited Okemo and found the Blue Duck Deli through a quick Google search and I am SO glad we did! 10/10 food! I’m a vegetarian and I had a very easy time finding something (would recommend the caprese sandwich)! Fair pricing, great atmosphere, and great staff! I was so impressed they remembered my name and thanked us as we left after the lunch rush. I’ve already recommended to many friends visiting VT!
