First time ever ordering from here. Pizza was gushing out pure oil! I hate to ever leave a review like this. I was so upset, as soon as you grab it, oil gushes out of the pizza. Pizza was TERRIBLE, crust does not taste fresh. I ate one and threw the rest out from how oily it was… restaurants need to do better. Stop playing with peoples health and clean up your ingredients.

The new owners have changed this bar! Change can be good. Sometimes. But the menu. It was great before and you took off the best things. Stuffed French toast. Eggs royale The old appetizers. You should have combined the old and new things together. It looks nicer inside. But has such a different feel now. Before it was more friendly and casual. Like a feeling of a group of people who were regulars. Now it is just more of a tight feeling there. Not like it used to be. And prices. Omg. Skyrocketed.

Joe went above and beyond to make me feel welcome — genuinely friendly, attentive without being overbearing, and clearly passionate about what they do. You can tell they love creating a great experience for every guest who walks in. The drinks were perfectly crafted, but what stood out even more was the personal touch — the conversation, the laughs, and the sense that I wasn’t just another customer.
I’ve been to plenty of bars, but this was hands-down the most amazing experience I’ve ever had. I left feeling happier than when I came in — and that’s the mark of a truly special place. I’ll definitely be coming back and recommending West End Tavern to everyone I know!

This is a quaint tavern that has been established in Lakewood Ohio for many years. It changed ownership over a year ago and the new owners cleaned it up. The service tonight was just okay. There was only one barmaid working the bar and tables. It certainly was not crowded.
We placed an order for the Shrimp basket and Giant Pretzel. It took over 30 minutes for the order to arrive. The Shrimp basket was just okay. The Giant pretzel was the worst. The menu described it as big, hot, fresh with melted cheese and stadium mustard for dipping. It arrived warm with a disgusting cheese sauce that was cold and no stadium mustard sauce. We brought this to the attention of the barmaid. She then brought an ice cold mustard that was awful. Needless to say we did not not use either sauce and ended up bringing the pretzel home to heat it up.
We certainly expected a better experience at this establishment.
One positive note is that we have heard the pizza is good and we saw a pizza delivered to another customer and it did look fresh and hot.

Celebrated my friend’s 21st here and Joe was absolutely fabulous!! Couldn’t have asked for a better bartender. We didn’t know exactly what we wanted and he gave us THE BEST shots and THE BEST service seriously he needs a raise!!! We were planning on bar hopping but specifically stayed because of Joe, he’s awesome!!

I had a pick up for a pizza that door dash couldn’t deliver (another story). Walked and the young lady didn’t greet me. She chose to continue to argue on the phone. I stood and stood until finally in leaned over the counter and said, “I have a pick up for Candace”. She went over grabbed it and handed it to me. Not a word!!…. customer service is everything and this experience assured me that I will not be returning. Food was average.
