This place was highly recommended by a local. I had to check it out. While there I got a text saying I needed to pick up dinner. Great timing. I got a pint of each type of pork BBQ, coleslaw, Mac and cheese, and corn bread muffins. I drove it back to Fredericksburg to rave reviews from the kids and our friends. They did not disappoint! I will add this to my favorite places list!

Great local BBQ spot with both Carolina vinegar (Carter’s) BBQ and a tomato based (Grandmas) BBQ. They have limeade too.
Wonderful, friendly place. About 5 tables for indoor dining or eat in your car or whatever.
Loved finding this place!

The pulled pork was okay. Way too much vinegar. The sauces with it were delicious and definitely added to the flavors.

I only got a pulled pork sandwich, NC style, but it was pretty good. There was a mild smoke flavor and the sandwich was loaded with meat, no complaints.

I ate here for the first time about 5 years ago and it was great. Fast forward to now, I was not impressed. The brisket I ordered was dry and heavily peppered. I love pepper, but that was way too much and way too strong to the point where I didn’t want to eat it less than halfway through. My wife got a half stack of ribs and the meat was so tough, I thought both her and I were going to pull our teeth out trying to get that meat off the bone. As a standard with ribs, I feel like it should fall off the bone. Anything else is overdone or not done right. The BBQ sauce on the ribs was ok. Nothing special. The vinegar sauce was also just ok. I like a good Carolina style sauce, but when it’s mostly vinegar I taste, there isn’t enough of everything else. The sides were mediocre at best. Standard fare I can get anywhere else. I was disappointed this time around because 5 years ago, I loved it. I raved about how good it was and finally when I got my wife to try it recently, it was not a good experience. I’d be willing to give this place another try, but not anytime soon.

I brought home the Grandma and Carter Platters. Each came with potato salad, baked beans, Cole slaw, and corn bread muffins. I would’ve liked to try the macaroni and cheese, but they were out.
What I had was tasty. The BBQ was moist and flavourful. The sides were different, yummy.
I’ll try dessert next time cuz I’ll definitely be back.

As much as I love your food your service is going down hill. For $14 a straw, napkin, and 1 pack of hot sauce isn’t too much to ask for. I just got to work excited for lunch and I have no silverware to eat my sides guess they can wait until I get home tonight, no napkin, straw, or hot sauce and I asked for these when I called in my order. Service is just as important as taste.
Also the limeade doesn’t taste like a limeade it taste like lime water.
