Earthly Elephant is a beautiful gem of a plant-based cafe I recently visited for a leisurely lunch. I had the Coconut Chickpea Curry with jasmine rice, and wow—savory with a touch of sweetness, comforting, aromatic… basically a hug in a bowl.
The Power Greens smoothie was vibrant and lively, not overly sweet, with that kind of freshness that makes you feel like you’re doing something good for your body. Perfect balance to the richness of the curry.
The space itself is adorable and inviting. I’m already planning my next visit for the vegan gumbo, and then the sourdough grilled cheese and vegetable soup—they all sound irresistible.
Such a sweet, nourishing little spot. Can’t wait to visit again soon!

Great FLAVORFUL vegan food and great energy! I’ve never seen a vegan restaurant in the Slidell area and I decided to give this one a try . I’m glad I did! The food is absolutely delicious. Everything is made fresh, which is an absolute plus in my opinion. I’m definitely a forever customer and I’m sure my family will be as well!!

Visited them at the new location near the bowling alley. The juice and smoothies are better than any juice and smoothie places I’ve come across in town. The curry was SOOO GOOOOD! Definitely gonna be a regular spot for me.

I’ve eaten everything on their menu but recently I tried the cafe vitality smoothie and it gave me so much energy. I had the chickpea coconut curry and it was so delicious. The vegan gumbo is like no one else’s and it’s so delicious and tastes just like a regular gumbo but without the meat.

This great little plant-based restaurant is a true gem! They serve up fresh juices and shakes that are as nourishing as they are delicious. One of my absolute favorites is their lion’s mane cakes—so flavorful and satisfying, you’d never guess they’re plant-based!
The owners and staff are always so kind and welcoming, creating a space that feels just as good as the food tastes. It’s clear they love what they do, and it shows in every detail.
They’re also very active in the local community, regularly participating in Olde Town Slidell events. I stopped by during White Linen Night and was blown away by how fresh and fantastic the food was. It’s the kind of place that not only feeds your body but lifts your spirits too.
Highly recommend checking them out—you’ll leave full, happy, and already planning your next visit!

I TRULY cannot sing enough praise about The Earthly Elephant, a local wellness restaurant/juicery in Old Town Slidell. We had a PTA meeting there the other day and I instantly fell in love with the people & the atmosphere. The plant-based earth bowls are top-notch and the ginger turmeric shot alleviated my sinus infection symptoms for hours. The owner and her daughter were so helpful with sharing their wealth of nutritional health knowledge. I went back today and was greeted with hugs and smiles; that’s when you know you have found your people
I haven’t checked out The Purple Elephant, their sister shop of holistic skin care products, but I will absolutely be doing so in the future.

The Earthly Elephant is unlike any other restaurant in Slidell. The staff is friendly and helpful! I had questions and they were knowledgeable and helped me decide what smoothie to get. The food is PHENOMENAL. You would never know it’s vegan. My husband and I tried a little bit of everything on the menu and everything was insanely delicious. The food was hot and fresh. The flavors are well balanced and soulful! The Lion’s mane “crab cakes” taste like they have crab in them. It’s crazy how delicious they are. If you are looking for something flavorful and different, I would highly recommend this eatery! 10/10.

My friend brought me here and I think she moved up a level on my friend list. I’m a vegetarian and this place was PERFECT!!! Everything was absolutely so delicious. I got the vegan gumbo, and I don’t like mushrooms but this changed my mind. I devoured the whole thing. The pink dragon smoothie was so yum that I had to get another one before I left. 10/10 recommend if you’re looking for something homemade, delicious, and healthy.
