Food is very good but I showed up a few minutes late as I’m used to their 9:30 close otherwise I wouldn’t be late. I show up and see a worker look at me but continue to close (Fair) but she finally came to the door basically shoved my 2 Too Good To Go containers in my hands and closed the door on me. Also I’ve ordered these on the TGTG app and I’ve gotten small containers and larger for the same price… I think the bigger containers are worth the $5 and some change I spend per container but not for small ones..

I love acai bowls and eat them at least 1-2 times per week. I wanted to love Frutta Bowls because it’s close to my house, but unfortunately, I’ve never had a good experience there. I’ve purchased an acai bowl on three separate occasions and each time has been very disappointing. The “acai” base that they use to make their acai bowls tastes nothing like acai. It tastes like frozen banana puree, which is all you taste when you eat it. I’ll continue to drive across town to get my acai bowl fix.

This place is great. One of my favorites to stop by if I’m ever feeling like having anything sweet. It’s also nice that it’s connected to Garbanzo, incase I want something savory too. The service was excellent, all the employees were very nice. The price range can vary but I’d say it’s definitely worth it considering their ingredients taste super fresh every single time.

I got the everything avo toast, and it was SO GOOD. The bread was perfectly toasted, and it had the perfect amount of avocado on it. The toppings were paired deliciously together. I will be eating here again soon.

Brunch: Frutta bowls, Ankeny, IA
Ordered in for a lazy Sunday morning brunch.
1. Frutella bowl. Combines the goodness of fruits like strawberries and bananas, choice of base ( I chose granola, blueberry flax), with yummy Nutella + almond butter and coconut flakes topping. This was delish and so satisfying! A little too small for the price, but I can’t complain about the taste one bit!
2. Bravocado. Essentially avocado toast with a rustic Italian bread and slathered with sun dried tomato pesto and slices of hard boiled eggs on top. This made for a hearty wholesome brunch together with the granola bowl.

We love garbanzo and frutta bowls, but the sizes have been getting very disappointing over the past few months. When we first ordered an Avocado toast, it actually included avocado spread. Now, it’s like they spread it on with the thinnest knife available. It’s more of a spirited mist than an actual avocado on your toast (see video, it’s literally not thick enough to move with a finger even, just enough to color the toast green). Super disappointing for the price.

I got a smoothie and it was decent i guess but at the bottom there was still some frozen fruit. And the size of it is so small for the 10 dollars i paid. Rather would have of went to tropical smoothie cafe as they give larger sizes and more customization than this place. All for the same or lower price. The staff seemed bored to be there which is fair cause it was super empty. Wont go again cause the bang for buck aint worth it.
