I recently tried Trattoria Amore for the first time, ordering a plain cheese slice. The thin crust was a highlight, with a great crunch. My slice was also big, perfectly baked, and folded nice. I did however detect a bit too much garlic powder in the crust, which threw me off. My friend did too so I knew it wasn’t just me. The cheese was good, but the sauce lacked depth and full tomato flavor. The restaurant was clean, and the service was fine. While I wouldn’t go out of my way to return, if I were local, I might explore more of their menu.

I went here to get two cheese steak subs with everything on them lettuce tomatoes mayonnaise hot peppers fried onions American cheese and provolone cheese. That is not what I got.

I got my food home it was dry bread no toppings and grilled chicken. I came back they remade my food this time they did give me cheesesteak.

I was told it had white American cheese and provolone cheese but still had no toppings or mayonnaise on it, so I went back in they look like they took some salad toppings because it was red onions banana peppers lettuce that was all chopped up and tomatoes sliced in half.

I did not even want my food after that, giving my food to 3 young men that was sitting at a table outside eating pizza. I’m so disappointed this is the first time I’ve ordered cheese steak subs from here and it will definitely be the last.

Ny order was not difficult so I was very confused so I am out of $30 cuz my food came up to $23 and some change. I gave them a 20 and a 10 and told the lady that took my order to keep the change put it in the tip jar.

Their pizza is good but I will never order subs from here again now I have to drive to jessup to get food

Worse experience I ever had, out $30 and no food. I didn’t even bother to ask for my money back. I’m not even sure if they would have given me back my $23.00.

I got the 2 slices and a drink combo for $8.99. Good solid NY slice. Good sauce and crisp. Good and fair prices. I’ll be back to try other things!

On a positive suggestion, Saturday’s afternoon dinner was at Trattoria Amore.

With many choices on the menu with difficulty choosing, I did not know what I felt like eating.
Ok, let’s try, the lasagna, and a fountain drink.

While waiting, I absorbed the Italian deco and the soccer game was televised, listening to Italian music, a bonus.

There are fifty different ways to prepare lasagna. It comes down to appeal and taste, served piping hot, first bite, enjoyed this lighter version of lasagna, with garlic toasted bread. Did I enjoy it ?
Yes indeed, I generally save half the next day’s meal, not this time, good and gone.

Classic red sauce Italian is the main staple at Trattoria Amore. We did a take-away of a couple pasta dishes and meatball sliders… spoiler, the sliders are a meatball sub cut into four portions. It’s not traditional, but great comfort food! The meatballs were well seasoned and complimented by the flavorful red sauce. The tortellini tricolor in tomato cream sauce was savory and paired well with the tangy sweetness of the sun-dried tomatoes. Cheers!

The good: two pizzas for $30 is totally reasonable. The staff is super cheerful and even fun to watch on a Friday night moving around rapidly like atoms in a Petri dish, orchestrated by an Italian mastermind bandleader.

The bad: The pizza had a bland, tasteless thin crust, with a great deal of bland sauce, not much cheese and faintly funky mushrooms. The reviews of this place are really good and some friends rave about this place. Maybe it was an odd night, but I am wary to try it again.

I dislike leaving a negative review of a local, family owned place and try to set my expectations accordingly. Alas, I can’t overlook the taste of this pizza.
