If you want quality and quantity, this is the place! This is a true definition of a hidden gem. A small sushi place tuck inside an Asian grocery store but once I had their sushi, I kept on coming back for more! We recently ordered one of their platters for new years and not only are they pretty in pictures, they were also fresh and delicious!

Sushi Niwa is located inside the food court of Pal-Do World Market Korean Grocery. They have good deals on rolls (two for $22.99 with two miso soups). I tried:
baked salmon roll ($13.99 by itself)
orange blossom roll ($13.99 by itself)
Baked salmon roll was really good, the salmon itself melted in my mouth.

Delicious food and at a great price! Since it’s located inside the market the wait can be 25+ minutes at lunch time so I like to call ahead. I got an 8 piece fire engine roll with a small salad and miso soup for $10.99. Came back the next day for another roll for lunch!

I used to go here a lot when I lived here 5 years ago, but just moved back and wanted to see if it was still okay after spending 5 years slaying sushi in Japan. It’s definitely American-style sushi, but it’s affordable and I’d rather go here x10000000 more than Trappers. Staff is always friendly and service is quick if you’re not going during the lunch rush – and even then it’s reasonable considering they’re rolling them fresh and to order. *i ate my food before I remembered to take a pic haha*

I love every place in this food court, never thought I’d recommend food court sushi but it is fire. Pretty reasonable on price too. I always pick a restaurant here when I am craving Asian fair. Do yourself a favor and get a drink from the selection next door, my wife and I play drink roulette, sometimes you get something great, other times it’s horrible, it’s a fun game to play while waiting for your food.
