You want a New Haven dive bar? This is the place, great food, solid beer list (cans and tap). Service is outstanding, props to Victoria the bartender on a crazy night with an event working the bar by herself and staying on top of everything and still friendly the whole time! Will definitely be back the next time I’m in town.

We stopped here before a concert at Toads Place and we’re very happy with our experience! We got smash burgers and they were absolutely amazing, the service was great, and a super fun atmosphere. The local art on the walls was pretty cool.

Zoe (or Zoey? sp) is a true professional. Talk about someone who REALLY knows how to be a bartender. This person cultivates an exceptional environment, is stellar at hospitality, plays great music and pours a mean drink. Knowing they work here at all makes me want to come back more.

Love the punk vibes and service was awesome. The beef on the burger wasn’t much, but the flavor of sauce, jalapeños, and all was perfect. The fries were pretty average. Drinks were really good.

Three Sheets scratches that little dive bar itch, where I don’t actually wanted to be surrounded by sullen binge drinkers, but I don’t want hipster trappings and salvaged wood on the walls either. Dark and cold, but not dingy, this bar is perfect for sloppy conversations, a bit of pool, and multiple rounds of pickles prepared in different ways. Beer prices are pretty standard, and the food is on the more expensive side, but you get what you pay for. The regular cheeseburger was exquisitely cooked and flavorful, and the pickled fries in the side were delicious, but quite strong for as many as they give you. The fried pickles (served as chopped spears) are my second favorite in New Haven, and the pickle spear served with my burger rounded out the acidic trinity. The folks working behind the beer and in the kitchen were extra nice too, tracking us as we moved to different seats twice. Finally, in spite of its rugged look, they have a lot of good looking vegan and vegetarian options with actual care put into the recipe, and not a token Veggie Pattie to quiet vegans who stumble into the bar with friends.

Met up with a couple of friends at Three Sheets. It was my first time visiting. The drinks were okay, and the food was not bad for bar food, but the atmosphere was definitely enjoyable. Met two of the New Haven Old Black Rugby players. They were doing a fundraiser. The male bartender, I believe his name was Jake or Jacob, was a lot of fun. Loved his personality. Overall, it is a decent place to meet up with friends or meet new ones.

Comfortable and clean. Hip dive bar atmosphere. Great vegan chicken salad sandwich and smoky flavored fries! Fair prices.

Three Sheets is one of my favorite spots to visit in New Haven. The bartender Sara is always so much fun and makes the best drinks. I asked for something really obscure (see if you can guess what it was), and she made it with no problem-The art in back is not to be missed!!!

Interesting atmosphere and good food. No table service/order at bar style which I like and find efficient. Great beer selection! Food choices are typical and unique… interesting menu. Definitely going back to try different items.

Formerly Elm Bar which was formerly the OG Rudy’s, this is lowkey the best bar in NHV. The food is bomb (their seafood is locally sourced and brought in daily), the tap list is constantly rotating and high-quality, and it offers a unique mix of townie and that Yalie that puts firefighters, grad students, and punk rockers in one spot. The staff is rad and there’s even a decent pool table in the back. 11/10.
