Heard great things, stopped in with some friends and while it’s a takeout/delivery place, we decided to eat in. Ordered the crab hush puppies blackens shrimp Po boy and bourbon chicken with broccoli and rice. There was an issue with the hush puppies so we were offered a refund and a free order of boudin egg rolls. We accepted the eggrolls but not the refund as we love supporting small businesses. The food was SOOOOO delish. And the owner was so gracious by borrowing a small table with 2 chairs so our friends could sit and eat while we sat on barstools along the wall. While there, people came in for take out and delivery orders were being packed up. The word is out! Highly recommend

Wow wow wow. What a wild combination of flavors. Things you think shouldn’t taste good together so when this chef gets his hands on it. From crazy creations like his Creole Seafood Egg Roll to simpler things like his Blackened Salmon Burger, nothing here is short of amazing!

Lived in buffalo my whole life love finding new food. Tried this place on a whim because it’s near my apartment and it did not disappoint! It was a little hard to find the place but boy am I glad I did. Got the sweet and sour chicken and rice and honestly was surprised to see it was just one guy working out of a big fancy kitchen alone! He seemed happy to cook and the food certainly reflected it. Amazing flavors with good high quality chicken rice was cooked good veggies fresh. Everything about the food was perfect some of the best stuff I have eaten in awhile. Large portion good for the price I have enough for lunch tomorrow. This tasted like something a chef would make me and I honestly think if I were to get this in Amherst or Williamsville if would be closer to 40$ and it was under 20$. I have literally nothing negative will return probably the next time I order out to try something new. If you are looking for good priced quality food to try give this place a shot!!!

I have been coming to far east bayou for the past couple years and no matter what dish I try I am treated with a delicious meal! I tried the Cajun chicken cheesesteak and creole seafood egg rolls two weeks ago and both were absolutely delicious! The cheesesteak was tasty and hearty. The creole egg rolls were good as well as I really enjoyed the lobster and the creole dipping sauce goes so well on everything! Anybody reading this should definitely try out Far East Bayou if you haven’t already; you will not be disappointed!

How to get there: go in the door to Waxlight, then follow the signs up to the second floor. It looks like you are walking into the kitchen but you can order right there to go or eat at the 3 small tables!

This place is a one of a kind gem, and it is hands down one of the best places to get food in Buffalo. You literally can’t go wrong with anything on the menu, the sweet thai chili udon with shrimp is my favorite so far. Generous portions of unique, top tier food.
Chef/owner Lamont does an outstanding job executing his diverse menu, and brings a breath of fresh air I would love to see more of in Buffalo. Honestly my enthusiasm may come off as paid, it may even come off as too good to be true, but I genuinely believe this man is cooking on another level. And running it all by himself too, literally a one man army. I cannot praise this place enough, it is criminally underrated.
If there are 0 Far East Bayou enjoyers, then I’m dead.
